There were polish letters in font once but after they have added arabic letters they deleted polish ones. Actually there is more polish players than arabic but who cares .
And I just saw that they are polish letters in game at least I have them.

would be a good thing to be able to change the fonts the game uses as a whole... (not only chat)

as for polish, i think they dont care since polish is no longer a supported language

only idea i have is to make unaccurate letters, like

ł -> l
ż -> z
ź -> z


but i guess you had this idea yourself already and it wont help much

Hi - Polish players used the Polish Client (which supported the language) - though since that client itself is no longer supported, the English client is default (which cannot have other languages added to it, unfortunately).

They are working for me but as you see on screen they appear only on chat panel and when you type them you see different letters before you send message.

No one's asking you to translate the game into Polish or support our language.

We are just asking you to add our language specific letters to the game so that Polish ao players could communicate in the proper and understandable way.

It's not rocket science, lads.

Never said anyone did, or that it was. It's the simple explanation (for the moment). Currently trying to gleam a bit more about the situation and will return if something changes - but for now, just like all other clients, EN only truly fully supports the one language like it always has.

Would recommend that those being affected by this change open a (non-bug) ticket to emphasise the problem and I'll also keep asking regarding change possibility.

In-game there are two fonts: Allods Fantasy and Allods Console (which is in fact an Arial font that all computers should have). From the button you highlighted, you can toggle the chat to display in one of those two fonts.
Allods Console (the thinner font) should be able to display almost any latin character (including the Polish characters).
So this solution should be used for the time being. It worked for me:

Unfortunally, the input box (where you write the message) is not gonna change to using Allods Console, and also the chat bubbles will continue to use Allods Fantasy.

I have been experimenting with an addon to try and replace the fonts, but with no luck so far. If I manage to do something about it, I'll let you guys know.

Well, as far as I know, the game will use the Arial font installed on the computer. So my guess is that your arial font is either corrupted somehow or not existant.
Try this:
- Open the Run Window (Windows Key + R)
- type 'regedit' (whitout the quotes) and press Enter
- Once the Registry Editor oppened, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
- In the Fonts directory, look for 'Arial (True Type)' and check if the value is 'Arial.ttf'
If it's not, double click it, and enter the path to the Arial font. Usually it's 'C:\Windows\Fonts\Arial.ttf'

If that doesn't work, or the value for 'Arial (True Type)' is already 'Arial.ttf', then I'm all out of ideas.

Sorry, but it didn't work. I have reinstall game, but it doesn't work also. I have arial.ttf on the right place, but game doesn't read it and I have no idea why. That's way I'm looking for an Addon, where you can choice other font from your own computer or with Polish sings inside.

I still didn't manage to add my own font into the game with an addon. I don't know what else to say about your problem. Submit a ticket with the screenshot showing no font, maybe they can help.

I have the same problem as LordDamian - only Fantasy font working, which would be perfectly fine for me since that was the one I'd always used anyway - except that the game UI elsewhere uses the Console font as default (such as hotbar buttons and Talent tree rank values) so, although still possible to use those elements, it's unnecessarily more difficult. My client has always been the EN one and this issue came about around Sep/Oct last year after one of the minor patches, hadn't bothered playing at all since then (reinstalled the whole game with due clean-up measures, didn't work) but trying to now and would definitely like to fix this lol. Will tinker around the system fonts but my Arial font doesn't seem corrupted in any way, in any other application...

I've fixed this problem... as I had said, my Arial font set was complete and functional, so I noticed another font type called Arial Unicode MS Regular which looks very similar to the "standard" Arial, just a bit squishier perhaps... thing is, this font doesn't seem to be common (I have Win7) or even present in Windows - I have it from another game, Microsoft's Rise of Legends from years ago, but it was shortcutted into the Fonts folder. so I copied the original font file from that game's folder and pasted into Window's Fonts, reinstalled on top of the system notifying me it was already present... and that was it. It is once again showing in the chatbox as well as hotbars and Talents. Now that makes me wonder, Zurion, how do you know for sure Allods' Console font is Arial? and not a variant more or less similar to it? Or maybe me having this Arial-variant somehow messed up how Allods looks at and for its Console version, whatever it be?

What I could suggest other people who might run into this issue is, whether the one font missing in-game is Arial or something similar to it, observe if it's a shortcut in the system Fonts folder; if so, locate the original file and install it directly into Fonts. Windows uses these shortcuts to save space/resources while still being able to "have" the font but, in my case, that detail made the whole difference.
