Quickest ways to get amalgams

Which are currently the quickest ways to get amalgam? I still don't have my greatness so I need to prepare for some amalgam farming when I reach max level ;)

Also, as a returning veteran I just want to check, what do you use amalgams for today (other than greatness)? Is it still used to upgrade gear? Gear is no longer upgraded using "upgrades" that you get from loots in dungeons, is it? You use some kind of tools now? I'm a bit confused with the new system, it would be nice to have some more knowledge about this since I'll soon be digging into these stuff probably :)

quests from lvl70 to lvl75 give nearly 100 ama, with currency trader u will get the remaining needed ones, so titel is atm a matter of seconds.

i do my ama with BGs.

ps: gearsystem is crapfish, u have to do alot of allods in high sectors to get resources efficiently and get gear from drops, the parts not dropping are made by urself with mats at anvil. once crafted u have to pumpup ur gear at anvil with mats.
allods are easy boring grinding atm so ur gear is just a matter of time.
u get free mercs and easy random groups for allods so its not a timewastemess like patches ago.

pps: dear devs, ur "system" is boring and asspain, i have to read way to much just to get the right stats, give back directdrops so i dont have to waste my time with checking stats.
PLS make Tekians playable race. fix shipcanons!

Aha, that's awesome! Maybe it won't take so long before I finish my path of greatness then :)

Yeh the gear system seems a bit wacko right now. I don't really like what I hear/read about it so far. I might actually focus on other stuff this patch like gold farming, finishing greatness and other WM's etc. until next patch. I might level up my reinc as well. Hopefully there will be some changes in the next big patch.

Thanks of the info!

Like I care enough to select specific text to quote ;)
