Questing is the only way to level up because quests are mandatory. You can also do low level astral dungeons with 5 other players but usually this takes a lot of time to gather a party. Sometimes I was waiting even 1 hour spamming the chat and we still couldn't find enough players. Leveling up is stupidly boring.

Weapons types used to mean something back in the good days of allods, now it's mostly just cosmetics, the type doesn't really changes much. 2 handed hammers and swords used to do a lot of damage at a slower rate and paired weapons used to deal small damage but really fast. Just make sure you don't use sword and shield for leveling because it's useless.

On which server are you playing? There are 3 servers currently. 2 of them are dead (Smugglers Paradise which is a non P2W subscription server and Equilibrium which is new Pay2Win server that died after the first month) and there is also New Frontier which also incredibly Pay2Win but at least the population is a little better so you can play PvE with a leveling guild with no problems( just forget about PvP in the first couple of years if you don't donate).

take time and dont hurry, leveling was a very enjoyable part of the game for me although i did a lot of rookie-errors and was underleveled/runed/geard along with a weak class at this time
when i was new it took me several months to reach lvl 51
now im confident i can maxlevel within a day theoretically
so it VERY strongly depends on knowlegde of the game, "shortcuts" and so on

i recommend to play char to maxlevel by doing all the normal quests and then learn about reincarnation and creat one (-> grants another char with different class but shared goods!)
for the sake of completion:
fastest way to level (aside from getting the instant-lvel70-item) is starting as a (psi) priden und then after priden-iasland level with "lowlevelastral-grp"; for a new player this likely does NOT represent the best way of playing this game

Warrior good for soloing?

every class good for soloing, just get "bloodlust" stat as primary stat -> you selfheal all the time over dmg!
warrior -> 2handed weapon or paired; its all the same
1handed / shield is not recommended for leveling
look warrior section for interesting protips

How to get in a guild?
I get lonely sometimes playing so I need some guildmates...
ask in yaskers tower / novograd mainsquare or in worldchat; preferably for a "21% exp+ guild"
or form your own guild with 5 other guildless players

if you play on "Equilibrium" or "Smugglers Paradise" server (both have close to 0 population), you might want to consider creating a char on the decently populated server "New Frontier" with thousands of players

Last question. As a brand new player, what is the best way to farm Gold?
most efficient way of farming is probably "RL farming"; exchange some $ to BC and the BC to gold (in allods you dont need a 3rd party seller with risk of getting scammed as there is an NPC)
most efficient (and by me considered best) way of farming (ingame) is selling items in auction, grind mobs, do maze, farm astral, farm KOE, farm ammer, farm skirmishes, levelup reincs, get personal mazes.... there are more threads, use searchfunction to find more
