Ok, this thread is hilarious. Everyone's got some valid points which you would notice if you posted something without saying "troll" or "noob".
Firstly, Dracias - dragonskv8 - and Autopsyst are both ridiculously good endgame summies, and they both understand that focus is incredibly useful in designing a build. A build that tries to do more than one thing will never be as good at any of them as a build that only has 1 purpose (single-target dps build will always outdps a straight acid AoE build etc).
Secondly, buying a DoD for bugger all each week is the easiest thing in the world and for next to nothing each week you get an many respecs as you want, to make the best builds you can. I know people without greatness doing that and being OP as shit.
Thirdly, I agree with those people saying that the hybrid build might be ok with farming and really easy endgame stuff, but if you try an go anything where you have to be awake, you will explode inside your own Aegis. As DPS, you won't have enough damage to down the mobs fast enough in DPS race fights, as healer you won't be able to do enough heals to make a difference. And in the harder astrals (s6-7, s13-14), it's practically mandatory to have 2 FHs anyway, whether they're summy or healer, which means that they should have the heals covered, and your role should be single-target DPS and emergency cc with DP. It's fine if you want to float through a s2 astral, but attempt anything more difficult and you're setting yourself up for lost keys.
Lastly, I can guarantee that a lot of the people posting here have done extensive testing to determine what builds are good for what purposes, myself included. If we say hybrid builds are bad, it's probably because we tried it and it failed miserably. My experience with hybrid acid/vamp builds is that they can often leave a lot to be desired unless you're very careful with them. There are 2 CD rubies for vamp. One will totally disable acid bolt which, if you're going for a hybrid build is a non-starter. The second set of rubies decreases the CD of vamp based on the number of times you use acid bolt. That can be viable in something like a raid or an astral where you're primarily single target. However in an AoE solo farming situation, you want to be moving around a lot so the mobs can't focus down your squishy ass, at least without hellion support. Without a hellion, I would recommend against a farming build that tries to hybridize acid and vamp builds. A straight-up vamp build, with blood tap rubies for mana regen, mana saving rubies and plenty of DoTs, VI and HoD for damage would be my recommendation for the build you're trying to create.
