Warden Maul/Grab animation delay

After playing the class for some time, I noticed that whenever I used Maul, the Warden would extend his arm for about 2-3 seconds. The issue is that when I follow it up with Wolf's blow, the previous animation (of Maul) still doesn't end although the damage (of Wolf's Blow) is being dealt and it looks kind of awkward. However, when I follow Maul with Lightning Strike, the Maul animation is cancelled/interrupted and if I follow it with Wolf's blow, I could actually see the warden performing it.

So, instead of going: Lightning Strike -> Maul -> Wolf's Blow,
I do: Maul -> Lightning Strike -> Wolf's Blow

Furthermore, I also noticed that the pet doesn't immediately attack (takes about 1s delay) when the Maul command is issued.

What gives?

I dont know how your build is, but there are rubies that increase the damage of your clout when having charges from vortex, so if you do lighting flash before doing clout, you'll lose the charges and clout wont do the extra damage. So, it doesn't matter if your char doesn't do the clout animation, just keep doing that rotation: Lighting Flash -> Maul -> Vortex -> Shred -> Clout -> Lighting flash, then repeat.

Dont think Clout gets extra dmg anymore from the combo. But Wounds increases overall dmg by 25%.
