started a bard reinc...

some general questions for you vets out there...

i havent played for about a year so im trying to relearn stats and skills again. first off for dps build is the canata/requiem combo still best for lvling? or is nocturne/canta better for lvling now?

ive looked around the forums a little and cant seem to get a decent answer

i also wanted to know what stats to focus on now.

any advice would be welcome! thank you!

requiem not worth it

use nocturne & catana all the time and dps with dissonance / raving blade / flying blade

get all rubies that boost catana dmg and nocturne heal and dont foget to get timpaini for proper AOE DPS

You can check my little guide on the forums here:
http://en.allods.com/forum/index.php?pag…ad&threadID=562

I put builds including a requiem build and a leveling nocturne build as well and how I use my combo(primarily DPS builds) as well as explaining stats (though some PVP stats like tenacity and anger and will aren't completely clear for me still and may be rather buggy but I talked with many people and friends in game and discussed the matter with them and put the info I could collect about these stats at the end).I also have a separate PVP builds guide (primarily tanky PVP builds) in case you want PVP:
http://en.allods.com/forum/index.php?pag…ad&threadID=639

Also I should add, some other guides out there are worthwhile like fiddler's bard guide though I disagree with him in some points but yet I can't deny his guide is well made so you can check it in case you don't like mine:
http://en.allods.com/forum/index.php?pag…d&threadID=1379

Finally, you can check the PMB guides as some of them seem to be very well done too.

Some personal pieces of advice:

-I recommend you don't use requiem in leveling or if you're more into farming much mobs etc unless you have some real good gear as nocturne gives you great sustain and not to mention how it can support party/raid members.Simply nocturne makes leveling easier and gives u higher chances of survival so you won't be facing much problems with it against mobs that hit hard.Requiem is more suitable for PVP and some end game PVE DPS to unlock bard's full DPS potential though it leaves you defenseless and squishy but for leveling I'd prefer nocturne as its way more useful than requiem in solo farming etc so you won't die.

-Try to check more than one guide and more than one opinion and once you have collected enough information about the class, open the talent calculator like this for example:
http://en.allodswiki.ru/calc#!9!111.....…...!a/A!a/A!a/A

then play puzzle and put whatever you feel suits you more and remove what you feel won't be efficient enough doing a certain role then share it with some other good bards and friends and see what they think about it and if their advice makes sense then follow it and keep tweaking the build bit by bit till it become something great..For me that's the best way to make good builds though it might take good time sometimes. In my guide,I put what the result of a great collection of information for around 6 months if not more updating and tweaking my bard builds to suit the DPS role well even when using nocturne.

I really hope this helped you out and if you need to ask any question about bards, feel free to send me a private message on forums here.

Good luck! ^.-
