Server Population

I just started the game and realized that there are basically no players around. What is the actual number of active players currently?

We have no idea as they have never told us the actual numbers.
However, I can tell you there are certainly quite a few players around.
The game is in one of the highest populations it has been in since maybe 2 years ago.
The game is geared towards end-game so you will not see many players around in the leveling zones as most people fly through them very quickly.

forum population is 54 720, you can make assumptions on how many players are in game then

but as many are in instances etc you wont see them all at once...

(also game seems to not display players if its over a certain number, it opens instances then, the 1 2 3 which is on some spots on the right upper corner)

if you sign for battlground it usually pops instantly; a good sign for a healthy population :)
