character lost after update

Hello, I just downloaded and installed the update. Everything worked fine until I logged in to find out that my character is gone.
I was just playing casual and free-to-play, last login was on 9th september 2017.

Can anyone help?

maybe you choose wrong server, this would make it look like char is gone
go to serverselection and check the other server
