these are most important i guess beside the classchanges


so this means any new player must not think about leveling with an spec just for endgame relevant, instead just level with leveling build and spec to whatever wih max level

also the gemthing is important to know, making me stop upgrading all my gems (glyphs) instantly on all chars, since it will save a LOT of gold

I wonder why no one showed up and said that he doesn't like spoilers... I've seen some people like this...

Na, psi will still own engineer the class is PVE only.

due to the fact that after this update psi is the only class that has NOT rcieved a major rework its most likely that this will happen in a sperate patch and that they really take time to consider what is best for this class

it will be somehow hard since the new cc system changes a LOT regarding psi; this class is DEPENDENT on its CCs which were feared once, so i have NO idea how they will "fix" this class

but i am hoping that psi will stand in one row with all the other classes then

Cleric Full Healer hasn't had an update in 2 years. It's been unchanged longer than any class, so Psionicist needs to get in line and wait its turn

Psi is fine, Ecto barrier is OP, low cool down, plenty of ways to survive, Hypno is no botherd by the new WP, so still a 8 second sleep on someone. Thought Spirit hurts, and their CCs do fine. People just want to QQ cause you cant perpetually CC people anymore. Or Hypno someone for 24 seconds, full heal using a snack (partner food) and then go back to fighting someone whos used all their heals already. Psi is fine how it is.

Hypno breaks from a sneeze, it's literally unusable around any people that have DoTs. Only thing it's good for is against warriors, because if some idiots hit them, it won't break until their barrier is down.

There's 5 really annoying things as a psi but neither of them is significant enough to be gamebreaking:

• Hypno too easily breakable and with too long cooldown, it's simply the weakest of all long CC skills in the game.
  
• Mental explosion being terribly clunky and difficult to use because it's only usable on stunned or knocked down targets and the projectile has travel time. If the stun/knockdown wears off before the projectile hits, there's no effect, like it's never been cast.
  
• Spectral Assassin being pretty much a waste of talent tree spot and rubies for it being a waste of ruby spots. This is utter garbage.
  
• Few seconds gap in rotation if you don't use Pyro.
  
• Way too high mana costs on most skills (Wall of Blades has way too high cost even with reduction rubies).
  

But psi is not weak by far, it just devolved a lot. Patch by patch is was losing uniqueness starting with cooldown being applied to Empathic Gift then Telekinetic Pull being given to reincarnations and ending with removal of it's primary attribute. Right now it's just another damage dealer class.

To be honest, I really hope they find some completely new direction for psi now that the old one is no longer a significant mechanic (no conviction and willpower significantly reducing importance of CC). They could bring back the old support psi with short-duration party buffs like Rapid Metabolism and Disciplined Mind were pre-Gipat. I found this VERY old talent calculator by accident:

I have been Psi for 4 years, and even now that I'm pally, I can say that I had more fun with my psio. But day after day, it was just less and less unique, less fun.

In PvE it's boring, you do a lot of CC but nobody cares anymore (before, it was very useful) you have double mezz but Mage do it better than you, you have aoe DPS but Mage do it better than you, you can single target but Mage do it better than you, you can seal and TP party but guess what ? Mage do it better than you ! (ok, they do it the same but I wanted to stay consistent :p)

You will never see a world message "need psio for this or that". But that's ok ok, we can still manage.

I'm not saying we are not useful, but we don't have something that makes us better than other (in PVE). So we are the good guys, we can be useful sometimes, but not a game changer. (I'm not talking about individual cases, but in general. Don't tell me the best psio is better than an random mage, ofc he is.)

There comes the PvP. Damn I loved my psio in PvP, I adored him even! Honestly no class will provide me what psi provided me, but this time is gone... Psio is still fun tho, but it's just annoying. We are this dude in your way, that make you rage, but not a real threat. You can be the best psio in the game, when people see your name while entering a BG or a Dominion or whatever, nobody will fear you.

It's true that we are really hard to kill (damn I still say we, old habit) but look at all the things that nerf us with time...

- First CD that immune players to Tkpull for 20sec, so you don't pull everybody. I never understood why this was not for everything and just psis.
- Then the bard arrived, so even if nobody is immune yet to tk pull, you cant pull everybody.
- Wait, there is the reborn tk pull too, more chance for you not to be able to pull and what made you unique...well everybody can get it.
- But just in case you didn't have enough, if there would still be ONE GUY standing there, that you could pull...now there is the CC immune, just in case

So yeah, I used to love psio to beats, full Def and full conviction, but even conviction doesn't exist anymore, you can't improve your CC, which was supposed to be your thing...great. So now you can DPS, but that's the things, I don't think somebody choose psio if he wants to DPS.

Anyway, here I am, a pally, I can tank, and still DPS better than Psi... I'm usefully everywhere, I can make a difference. And yet I'm not following the wind, I have been hoping for the psi to get to what he used to be, to follow his purpose, but it did not happen. Maybe it will someday !
