it depends what your playstyle is

- if you level with lurker and aoe 8 mobs at the same time the most important things are the dots, the heals & the bloodshieldrubies
from the damage you will get you can profit from determination
for single enemy using vamp + deathhowl is useful

- acid is not useful for leveling at all, its only for pure DPS in parties where you have healer & tank

- if you dont aoe and go 1 by 1 hellion is better than lurker, but dont go with determination then, better take 1:1 Proficiency / Brutalit as you wrote to avoid tiny DPS

if you are level 15 i recommend you look at my info for rookies (signature) its nasty to miss these 10 statpoints all the time while leveling!
i would not invest even 1 talentpoint into acid

i would get putrefy R3 and hellion R3 at first
then dark empathy as soon as possible, you can heal your "private tank" hellion then
then mabye vampirism R2 to have blood for howl of death
darc pact R1 for blood generation while out of combat etc
rest is up to your personal preference, i just named a solid base here

an idea of build with hellion and lurker, i have no clue if u can survive witout pet so u can just skip hellion for some lvls. If i remember corectly u can take lurker at 24 or so ?! If u have both pets is easy to switch between em depending what u do.

Just do whatever build u think is good, you get a free reset at lvl 60 then you can pick full dps build with lurker. Most important thing tho is maximize dots, thats 1st priority as a summoner.

As stats prof/brut with a bit of determ works better imo than full determ while lvling.

get evil genius 1st 9% more vigor really makes a difference, if u take dark leech u wont get any blood so dont take em until u reach lurker, rest i think is ok, but still not sure if u can manage to lvl without pet some lvls

before i had 2 specs & perm free respec i always had hellion AND lurker on R3 so i could do whatever i want, it was a hybrid build which perfectly fitted my needs

dark-leech rubies are not something i would take in a leveling-build
and withering touch is needed for neurotoxin to work properly

also what reeah19 say, calculating mind (+proficiency) is biggest damageboost you can get, get it early

when i was in that situation, talent grid was different

here is something i would use now for a leveling-hybrid build
(still its only a basic construct, but more advanced, every player has different wishes )

for singletarget the "dark leech" rubies in 3rd grid are a good idea (since they reduce cd to 0 and not only for 30%)
but if you do only aoe for some reason or use vampirism not often you wont need that / you will be ok with the long cd too

if you decide to play with determination i would strongly recommend phlebotomy; its also useful in pvp battles (enough blood to spam reanimation etc)

mastersummoner rubies from 1st grid are not really worth in most cases for non-acid builds, the reduced lurker-time is not so much

to profit from the dark-spark rubies use reanimation before using vamp + death howl

i dont know if you will use dragon-tear skills, for example i did not use them at all as long as i did not have a permanent tear
if you plan to use them you must also spec these skills of course
