I agree with ninim on the theme, it brings a tear to my eye. What drew me to the game is hard to remember. Honestly I think it was the resemblance to WoW since I Was in 6th grade at the time looking for a game to play like WoW, Allods did not disappoint me when it came to what I wanted to see in a game, here I am today 4 years later still kickin the games ass.

*crotchety old man voice* Back in my day heroics was something people actually did, in full parties. June catacombs was once a day nothing like it is today. A horse was a good mount. We picked up our own loot, one gold got you one gpots of goods. Noobs respected their pros and ice cream tasted different and now... *goes on 20min rant about medicare not covering medication* ...the air smelled better and all you had to do to fix electronics was hit them.

you forgot the part about no obamacare. and groups in june catacombs was op to fight the boss.

Dug around and found some images from back in 2009.


Two GMs "Mister Kite" and "Haz" hanging out and fooling around with all the newbies, throwing an impromptu dance party.



Dance party cancelled, Mister Kite decided to just kill Haz per GM-command.

haha, good times when i used to power carry newbies through XAES atleast thrice a day, and then go to AT because some guildie reported a war party coming in.

Till lvl 40 the game was just perfect. Then camed gipat patch... And it brought us were we are today, merging all servers :-)

Oh man.. The days of being lvl 40 and carrying 5 10's through Orshek... Needing Raid for OP Rabid Squirral/Spider/troll... etc.... NO mounts. Small Bags. Expensive CS Items. 1mill xp between lvl 39 and 40. Full Server... Trash talkin... Runes in Gears.. Pissed off about Breaking runes cause you couldnt afford a good rune removal tool. you know...The Good Ol Days!!!!

I wish I would've started playing Allods before the gipat patch. I started shortly before the 51 patch, when the game was already declining.

dunno how to say it for some ppl to belive me , but at lvl 40 cap there was so many ppl that every time , no matter the hour , ppl were fighting in Asse Teph :) Damn thoes days , who wanted pvp just teleported there and jump in the battle , no queee no nothing :))

^^^ Yes....Raid Runnning AT All day. No Twinks.. cause EVERY level was available and ready at ones beck and call.
