Invisible characters

So, I decided to try AO again, after a complete download and install, I go to create a character, and all the female models only appear for a moment when I select a class. They do their animation and vanish. Male models stay, but females disappear.

I do not have AVAST!
Video drivers are up to date
I combed the forums with a search, and i tried everything suggested...except the link people kept posting for more advice, as it says the link/post is no longer there. I am at a loss.

Hopefully someone has an idea.

Hello,

As this is not an Avast issue, and it's not the "black texture" issue either, i'll try first a client repair, and then, i'd suggest you send a request to customer support here, joining a dxdiag file and maybe a crash report if you have one related to Allods Client.

Join as many information as you can (firewall and anti-virus name for exemple).

Maybe someone will have a better idea later.

Hello,

From the My.Games launcher, when you are on the Allods Page, click on the little arrow next to "Play" button :

There's also a repair icon if you use the Allods Launcher (C:\MyGames\Allods Online EN\bin\Launcher.exe)

You can also try to switch from "High" graphics to a lower preset (in the settings, the "gear" icon on My.Games Launcher or Allods Launcher).

If nothing works, i have no other idea, except contacting support team :/.

is the "progressive download" done?
because what you describe sounds like the basic models of chars are loaded and the actual models are not, so game short shows to basic ones, and then, when it want to display the actual ones it fails because the data is not there
so the fix would be to let it download completely

if your "progressive download" is done alrady disregard my suggestion

I got a response which was this;

Go to antivirus settings, click the tab "Troubleshooting" and remove the checkbox from "Enable hardware-assisted virtualization".

I am using AVG, and I cannot see this option anywhere

According to Google, it seems that's an Avast option...
If your ticket is still open, i'd suggest to answer back that your issue is not solved and you do not have Avast as an antivirus (in case they missed it in your first request).

Is your DirectX up-to-date ?

I read that you made a complete download, did you re-check that the progressive donwload is actually finished ?
What happens if you lower your graphic settings ? Still the same issue ?

Can you enter the game, even with a male character ? Do you see female characters ?
