Psionicist and Sorcerer - why they are so durable in PVP

since it get asked about this often ingame i wirte this here so everyone can see

when in support-spec, these 2 classes will heal up and absorb damage like crazy once they enter their flare / enlightenment mode unless they stop to attack for 4 seconds they will stay in this mode
rubies cause higher damageabsorption, higher survivability (=more heal) etc - bloodlust is heal too, so it will be more also
sorverer also starts to create puddles under him and becomes immune to all slowdowneffects and runs faster
he even reflects some of the damage according to the description of the ruby however im not sure about this

to break this state you must cc them for more than 4 seconds

I wonder if you're implying that heals from bloodlust are boosted with survivability? If so, I'd be glad to see any proofs of that.

i am not sure about this, just assuming it from the description
would be silly if not... why would game treat heal from "bloodlust" otherwise than heal from "heal"? the only difference i see is that "bloodlustheal" cant fix wounds while "healheal" can

however aside from that, psi has rubies that say something like 30% more heal recieved while under "enlightended" buff or something and since bloodlust is heal i guess this works (even if surv. would not affect the bloodlustheal)

i never tested it by paying attention to combatlog but you still notice it while playing over time

Just like shield from Concentration isn't affected by Survivability, the heals from Bloodlust could not be affected either. The 30% heal increase could be different, but I doubt that as well.

Another point worth mentioning is that in PvP you deal much less damage than in PvE. So this diminishes the value of Bloodlust there.

Unless you're just devastating ppl that have half your runes and 10-20k GS lower. But for those people you're "so durable" for much different reasons xD I'm durable even being a scout in such cases xD

You can say goodbye to your cc, hence cc will get massively nerfed 8.1 also mages buffed up to 6 seconds flash lightning stacks, have fun chasing mages!

Wait really? I thought that was the whole point of getting Survivability. What good is Survivability then?

As the description suggests to receive more heals and better shields from your fellow healer/support.
