I understand You want to attract new players to game but it seems that
veteran players are almost entirely forgotten in "how to keep our
customers playing game" policy.

My suggestion is simple: each player receives one coin per 1st login in day.
Veteran coins could be used to purchase things like:

• special outfits
• weapon skins (not holy weapon, just simple weapon skin without stat bonus)
• discount coupons for certain boutique items
• extra character visuals (footprints, fire breath, ice breath, lightning breath, small version of guild tabard hovering above head etc)
• mount upgrade items (swimming, jumping etc, speed enhancement (up to max available on server))
  
• ship customization tool (large guild tabard on sails, port or starboard side or even different hull type like big version of sailplane mount)

Some of older players (veterans) might be VERY dissapointed when they compare this:

Here is what new player (or new character) gets:
1. Set of level 5 (from the ark) and level 6 runes
2. Perfection scrolls (all to epic included, extra primary stats)
3. Conclave (all to epic included, extra defensive stats)
4. Mage scrolls (all to epic included, extra rubbies)
5. Set of fragile level 8 runes (2400cc after 30 days)
6. Miraculous Ark (instant lvl 75)
7. Epic earring slot scroll
8. Plenty of discount coupons

Now here is what veteran player gets:
1. Tiny discount to NPC items prices (mirra).
2. Sometimes extra set of clothes (I do not remember when was the last time, I'm not counting events outfits like winter/spring festivals).

Am I missing something or You really do not care much about playerbase You have now?
