Astral Venture

Im stuck with this quest, when it says turn boos mode on, i go to the motor and set on full speed but nothing happens?! Am i missing something i should do or is this quest bugged?

2

wcf.global.timeFormatLocalized

Hi,

You need to go to the machines (not the interface to drive through astral), at the back of the boat, in a small room, and activate the "double speed" at the motor.

Hi,

...You are SO confusing that it takes a GENIUS to figure out what you mean...

What the hell do you mean by: "You need to go to the machines (not the interface to drive through astral)"

What the heck is that "interface" you're talking about?

And also: "at the back of the boat, in a small room, and activate the "double speed" at the MOTOR."

What the fuck? First you say that we have to go to the back of the ship...but at the back there is only the "Scanner"...how can a SCANNER have the Turbo Boost option? (Also...when I tried to use it, it said: "That device is being used by someone else"...or "That device is offline").

And then you say: "activate the double speed at the MOTOR."

The motor doesn't even HAVE any "Double Speed" options on it... X( There are only 3 types of arrows: -->, --> -->, and --> --> --> (slow, faster, fastest).

I have failed that MORONIC quest 15 times now...all because of that stupid "Turbo Boost" crap! :cursing: (I'm level 60 btw)
...I'm running around the ship looking for SOMETHING that's even REMOTELY related to the "Turbo Boost" idiocy...and I ramp up the speed of the ship to 3 arrows, the ship then reaches the Silent Hills astral allod map, and I can't do anything anymore, and have to quit the quest and try again...and again...and AGAIN!! Put more detailed description about the "Turbo Boost" thing so people who are not familiar with Astral exploration can FINALLY complete such an idiotic quest!! (never been to Astral before...and don't care much for it...just want to complete that training quest and be done with it).

Hello,

...You are SO confusing that it takes a GENIUS to figure out what you mean...

Well Blodroth will be happy to know that he is a Genius :D.

You are messing up with back and front of the ship. The front of the ship is where you see where you are going, where you "drive" the boat. The back is the opposite side.
Scanner is on upper desk.

  • Jump on the boat, get the boat to astral (outside of your capital/main town), i can't remeber the beggining of the quest.
When you are doing this (getting the boat to astral), you are at the "driving interface" of the boat, the place where you command the boat to turn left/right, go up/down or go faster (speed 1, 2, 3), the place where there is a big windows to know where you are going.
  • Now, turn yourself @180°, and walk to the "back" of the boat. Don't take any stairs, just stay on the same desk. Then you'll enter a small room, where there is machinery (reactor in front, turbine and helm on the side, and The Motor on the back.
  • Activate "speed boost" or whatever the name is, at the motor, and quest finished  !

If you still don't understand, i'm sorry for you. Wait for another answer or ask someone ingame what's the speed boost on a ship. Almost every lvl 60 player that goes regularly to Astral will know.

Good luck, and please be polite in your message ;).

...I'm not a retard, I think I know THAT much.
  • Zitat

    Jump on the boat.
Check.
  • Zitat

get the boat to astral (outside of your capital/main town), i can't remember the beginning of the quest.
The quest starts in the Astral Hangar. (The quest is called "Astral Venture")
  • Zitat

When you are doing this (getting the boat to astral), you are at the "driving interface" of the boat, the place where you command the boat to turn left/right, go up/down or go faster (speed 1, 2, 3), the place where there is a big window to know where you are going.
I'm not the one doing that (since I'm not the one "driving" the ship). I just jump on the ship from the landing platform and WAIT at the top deck near the platform until I'm told what to do. The ones operating/piloting/driving the ship are Rowdy Brow and Matron Lighthand (the contractible mercenaries from the mercenaries skill/spell...and I did NOT summon them, they were already on the ship). (Rowdy Brow is at the controls on the lower deck (right below the landing pad), and Matron Lighthand is on the upper deck controlling the Scanner (right above the Reactor), the ship is called "Trailblazer")

Zitat

Now, turn yourself @180°, and walk to the "back" of the boat. Don't take any stairs, just stay on the same desk. Then you'll enter a small room, where there is machinery (reactor in front, turbine and helm on the side, and The Motor on the back.
THAT, is the confusing part!! I have NO idea what you mean by that!!
I'll take those instructions in parts and try to understand them...

Zitat

Now, turn yourself @180°
Check.

Zitat

Walk to the "back" of the boat.
Check.

Zitat

Don't take any stairs, just stay on the same deck
WHY would I need to take the STAIRS in order to reach the BACK of the ship?!
Anyway, check.

Zitat

Then you'll enter a small room, where there is machinery (reactor in front, turbine and helm on the side, and The Motor on the back).
...You DO realise that I'm currently on the upper deck at the place where the Scanner is right? -_-'
The machinery that you talk about is on the LOWER deck for crying out loud!!

Zitat

(reactor in front, turbine and helm on the side, and The Motor on the back)
ACTUALLY...the "device" order and position goes like this:

Reactor = Located in a small room at the back of the ship (the back of the ship is where the big-ass ship ENGINE is), which is located on the lower deck.

Turbine = Located at the front of the ship (the front of the ship is where the "tip" of the ship is, the place where the front ship decoration goes...don't know it's official nautical/astral term)

Motor = Located at the front of the ship on the Lower deck; just a little bit left of the Turbine (There is not even 1.5/2 meters of distance between the two)

Helm = Located right between the Motor and Turbine on the Lower deck

Your sense of direction is astonishing...you remind me of the Pirate Hunter Zoro from the One Piece anime. >_>
  • Zitat

Activate "speed boost" or whatever the name is, at the motor, and quest finished  !
...WHERE?! It is NOT at the freaking Motor!! What the hell are you talking about?! Explain in more detail! It's because of your inaccurate directions and explanations that I am here raging at you.

  • Zitat

Good luck, and please be polite in your message ;).
Polite? I WAS/AM polite... Did I for example say childish stuff like: "go fuck yourself you cunt", "suck my dick" or "die you fucking pig"?
No, I didn't. My message consisted of nothing but pent up rage from not being able to complete such a *beep* *beep* *beep* quest
(hopefully you know what the beeps stands for). If I used you as a "rage-venting machine" then I apologise...but you have to understand my position in this matter.

Anyway, now that you know the PROPER ship layout...would you mind giving me the directions I need in order to complete this messed up quest once and for all?

Actually...it's not. I have no idea what the heck he means by "Speed Boost at the Motor".
There is NO option to use a Turbo/Speed Boost at the damn motor! All that's there are the 3 arrows...NOTHING ELSE!

I've only started going to Astral a few days ago. You can't expect me to know everything there is to know about the damn thing.

If him or you (or someone else for that matter) would be willing to make a video tutorial on how to complete that retarded quest, that would be very much appreciated.

Ok, I will try to explain. The ship has 3 decks.
  • Top deck where there are cannons, shields and scanner.
  • Middle deck where there is the wheel, artillery, cannons, reactor, motor, helm, turbine.
  • Lower deck where there are the repair goblins and the treasure room.

Take the stairs down to the middle deck. Ignore the wheel at the front where the windows are, walk the opposite way towards the reactor. This is on the middle deck, under where the scanner is on the top deck. Enter the room with the reactor, turn either left or right and go up the ramp behind the reactor. Here you will see a large circle shaped object on the wall. This is the actual motor itself (the devices at the wheel are just the controls). Click this circle and you will have two options available, Boost and Stop Boost. Click the one with two arrows to start the boost, and the stop button to stop it.

I hope this helps :)

if you jump on your ship and driving out of the hangar, you look in the direction where the ships driving

now turn around 180°, you should see no near you a "opening" to reach lower deck (where the 2nd rows of canons are)

go down there always same direction, then you should run into some glittering fancy machine called the reactor.

there should be some steps left and right from it, so you can go behind that thing, on imp side theres then a "BIG ROUND THING" there, use it.

There should be only one option in your hotbar then. use it.

if that wont work, i will make a short video for you showing you where it is on a imperial ship if that helps.

I am such a noob...I totally forgot that the ship had 3 decks...*facepalm*
Well, that's one thing solved, thanks man.

...Finally...FINALLY!!! Someone showed up with an AMAZING and highly detailed explanation!!!
Your guidance was MAGNIFICENT!!! I always play the game with my camera zoomed out half-way...so It never occurred to me that there was something BEHIND the Reactor... THAT is the one piece that I was missing for this puzzle...

You should get a freaking MEDAL for this!!! ...I'm not joking/over exaggerating btw...you really should get a medal.

All that's left now is for the devs and/or GM's/Admins (or whoever does the translation for this game) to rename the IDIOTIC/FAKE Motor into something like "I am here to troll people, pay no attention to me, the real Motor is located behind the Reactor; I'm just here acting like a car gas pedal".

Again...you my friend need a statue erected in your honor!!

It's amazing what a simple, idioticly-written quest description will do to some people...

Hello,

About the same quest i am stucked also.
Tried it now so many times...when i have to boost the motor he never comes online.
Restart the reactor or use the repairman leads to nothing else than a keeping offline motor....what about that horrible Murphy?

Hey I also got a problem with this quest. For some reason when demons invade the ship and I kill them the quest option has not been completed. When I went to the Silent hills I had no quests to take and just killed the monsters for no reason XD Anyone had this problem before?
Is it because I killed the demons "not at the right time" ?
