Not a day without a gift! (question)

Hi, today i got the final reward, but i want to ask about 2 of the posible gifts:

1. Recruit's Chest (pruple): i guess it doesn't give astral gear? (if it doesn't it would be a good idea that it did, after all is a very rare reward)

2. Blade of the Loyal Knight: this is the one i want to know the most, it tells that teach you a skill: it is permanent (the item expires in 7 days but doesn't tell if the skill is permanent or not)? does it worth to have?

I don't know about the Recruit's chest, but this Blade gives u a limited skill, its probably like with a assault shell (those arms i forgot how they were called :?: ) 7 days and thats it (well, i think :D ).

I don't know the assault shell tells that the item will disappear in 30 days and that it last 7 days. This one tells that disappears in 7 days but tells that teach you how to summon the knight (if it was that summons a knight then i could read it as if it last 7 days but isn't the case).
