"Learning to work with equipment" quest incomplete HELP

Hey guys so I have been unable to craft the ring which is required to finish the quest. I have all the material required, and I tried re-taking the quest (can't abandon quest). Any suggestions as to why it wont let me craft it? thanks so much. I have attached a photo of the quest itself and the two items in the middle of my bag with the ring which seem to be required.

EDIT: can't attach photos :( But yeah the quest is from when you first learn how to use the forge

To upload the photo you can use, for example, Imgur, then just paste the link here.

About the quest:

-I find it easier to do it at the Astral Academy since there you can see better the steps you must follow.
-Be sure you have the mats to craft the item: at the start you must use the green hammer to work over the mats to leave them rdy to use. Must use the training hammers, since the others don't work.
-To craft the ring, just need to select it and craft. Check if you have room in your bag.
