This game is no different than any other f2p game.

You got two styles of players. Casual and Hardcore.

The hardcore players are usually the players that have the cash to take the faster way to the top. Ever now and then you'll see very powerful players that pretty much didn't spend much on this game at all.

Then you have the casual players, typically consisting of those who aren't "into" the game completely and those who simply don't have enough time available to devote more to the game. Sometimes the latter tends to become semi-hardcore by investing cash to equal up the lack of time.

There really isn't any other way to look at it than that.
