Psi way of attack

Is there a possibility that you can change the way Psi attack to way it was before? It says that it uses power of mind yet he swings its wand like stupid...i can't immerse with it that way :(

I still remember my psi holding it pyrokinesis in its hand it was freakin awsome....but now...like you said, "stupify" or "avada kedavra"...seriously?! o.O
