starter pack not showing up

Hello,

so my friend just got me back into this game after 5 years. i purchased the starter pack then made a new character but none of the items are appearing.
My friend tells me it should be in my mailbox.

Did something go wrong?

Are you sure the account you bought it on and the account the character you made it on are the same?

Did you purchase the starter pack via steam and are using a my.com account? (Or did you purchase it via my.com and are using it on a steam account?)

Make sure steam transactions stay with a steam account and the same goes with my.com transactions (aside from top ups which all must be done through my.com).
