Damage over Time Melee Build vs Burst Damage and Heal Caster Build (FEEDBACK NEEDED)

Hello fellow wardens :D , it's been quite awhile since I've played this game and I can see that a lot has changed. I'm not familiar with end game content gear and I'm only level 33 so please keep that in mind. If anyone knows any information about the gear and how big of a role it will play in a warden build, PLEASE let me know below. I came up with 2 different builds from the new update. Both involve the pet but encompassing different aspects of wardens.

:!: Build 1: Melee + DoT + DPS
http://www.allodswiki.ru/calc/#!5!331..3…raqbeb/CECUXMDB

I'm utilizing alot of the poison DoT abilities and therefore alot of my rubies are taken to maximize that damage efficiency. I had to spend a ruby on a blank space just to get "Dangerous Mix" at the bottom left hand corner. I think it's well worth it because all my poison vines and bee swarms are instant casts so no downtime to cast and lose out on DPS. I also chose "Renew" and "Rejuvenation" as my main healing abilities. If someone could please clarify, can I target myself for the heal or does it require an ally target? I remember when this ability used to be aqua vitae. Also, for the Medicinal Roots rubies for the "Entangle Roots" ability, does " heals all allies in range" refer to myself too? Would I be considered an ally and gain the heal buff when under my own "Entangle Roots"? If that is possible then I might respec to have "Entangle Roots" in my kit to increase DPS and survivability. Some cons I can see for this build is self-sustain. I don't have many healing abilities so I'll have to rely on consumables. Not sure how effective Renew and Rejuvenation are endgame.

:!: Build 2: Caster + Burst + Heal
http://www.allodswiki.ru/calc/#!5!313.3.…E!mdd/OWDXZVZHD

The purpose of this build was to have high survivability as well as damage output. Most of the rubies were chosen to increase crit damage on my main abilities and there's also the combo of building up maximum damage for "Emerald Glow" ability by gaining the raging storm buff. Unlike the first build, surviving will not be an issue since I'll have shields, damage reductions, and healing abilities on top of all that. Almost all my healing abilities are HoT which I think is alright since I'm taking all 4 Animist rubies to maximize healing efficiency. A major con in this build is mobility. Most of the time I'll be standing still and casting which makes me vulnerable to CC abilities that interrupt. Again, if "Entangle Roots" is able to heal me as well as allies, it will make me respec this entire build to incorporate "Entangle Roots" and its Thicket ruby which slows all enemies caught in range of the Entangle Roots. That is why I chose the Scavenger ruby so that my pet can attach and slow the target to allow me to have some extra time to cast spells.

Any feedback would be appreciated, no matter how extreme it may be. Just keep in mind that I haven't been up to date with the game for years and now just started coming back because of the new update. Also, if you have any questions be sure to write them below too. Thanks for reading! :3 I hope everyone's enjoying the game.

After reviewing both builds, the main issue is that you are attempting to use rubies from multiple Aspects (Build 1 has Aspect of Support rubies, but you chose Aspect of Attack, Build 2 has rubies from all 3 possible Warden Aspects, but you are trying to run a healing build) and the new class dynamics has you create builds around 1 specific Aspect.

With Wardens, they are:
Caster DPS (Aspect of Attack)
Melee PvP Support (Aspect of Support)
Healer (Aspect of Healing)
(these are just some examples, by the way. I don't play a Warden anymore)

If a ruby states "Aspect of ________" at the top of its' description, it will only work within that Aspect.
Take a second look at your builds and the rubies you want to use in game and see what requires what. You'll notice that builds are now relatively much easier to understand, but are more rigid in their design.

Haha, that explains why some skills have Aspects labeled above them. Thank you for resolving my confusion. Fortunately I just needed to change my Aspect Ability for my melee build but the caster build was a bit more problematic. Presented below are the builds fixed up according to their respective aspects.

Build 1: Melee + DoT + DPS
http://www.allodswiki.ru/calc/#!5!331..3…raqbeb/CECUXMDB

Build 2: Caster + Heal

Note that my caster build is no longer able to burst out damage. I opted more for a healing build with more AoE damage abilities.

Both look much better. I'll let a more seasoned Warden respond as to whether or not the builds can be improved further or not.

You put three skills in first melee attack in my opinion it's a mistake. Why? This is physical (or elemental when rubies taken) damage and all other is nature, so you'll need to spread stats on your eq, what will be waste, but it's only my opinion. second thing if you took thunder and lightining even on r1, then you'll get next dot

both builds sucks.
Lol I appreciate the input  . I understand that these builds are still a work in progress and I'm not quite familiar with what the game is like at the moment.

Yes, the reason I chose the first melee skill to max out was because there is no cast time for it and it also procs the Forest Orderly ruby, giving it 100% critical melee damage. On top of that, as long as my target is poisoned, I will do even more melee damage to them.

Essentially I have low cast time abilities and mobility working for me, that is why I did not choose thundercloud/ thunder and lightning. I chose abilities that are instant cast or AoE so that I can focus on melee attacking. Do you think that this is a viable option in late game PvE or even PvP? The rubies that enhances poison damage was just to supplement DoT efficiency for poisonous vine, poisonous thorn, and leaf fall.

Thank you for your input.

I can say only this. "Melee dps sucks" atm.
-Healing output is extremely low without aspect of healing and proper rubies. So take other dps rubies.
-Caster warden can move while casting any skills(except Emerald glow, but can use this inst)
-Every skills share global cooldown. So even you use melee skills with none casting, you have to wait for 2sec to use next skill.

Above of all things, you didn't take Aspect of assault. That means you already lost 30% dps boost.

Woww :O I don't know why melee dps builds have always been so terrible whenever I've played. I really appreciate the input though, I think I'll just opt for the caster build. There's always room for more healers in Novograd afterall heh :d I'll try to respec the build to incorporate more Emerald glow rubies, I can see that it's one of the few warden abilities that can output the most damage. Thank you very much
