Unsummon Ship In Combat?

Anyone know how players are able to unsummon their ships while in combat? There's a lot of gold to be gained from killing ships in anomalous region and yet i find myself wasting a lot of time because a player unsummons their ship when their hull is very nearly destroyed or even unsummon immediately.

Before you start hating on my methods, let's talk about the unsummoning issue first please.

well as far as i know if you relog to your incarnation you can pull back your ship in combat

I thought so, i was told that was already patched over, but now i'm skeptical. Oh well, i guess ill just abuse this in my favor.
