hi,
you can use realgar ONLY for upgrading your items. Even if you try to put it as an ore for glyphs, it will say, you can't do that.

I used old realgar to upgrade glyphs at 25% rate no probem.

New realgar only works on gear on a bit under 12% progress rate. If you still have the old pale realgar you can use it for glyphs otherwise you're stuck to cinabar/amalgam for glyphs.

Also imo the glyph upgrades for legy to fabled aren't worth it. You get like 2 vigor and 1 stamina or vice versa per glyph and you spend around 5k gold so do that only if you don't have anything better to do.

There's an upgrade from fabled 55 to fabled 56 later on, is the difference there similar?

Don't know yet. Should probably ask someone from the f2p server for that.
