It is actually up to them to decide what should they do. If they wanted to go KoE and gank there they would've done that.

And again it's not Dala who decides what needs to be done, it's every player decides for themselves.

absolutely
i am happy im not the only one who realizes this!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

most players cant stand those who try to infantilize them...

please let me educate you... someone elses playstyle is none of your business, NEVER

i cant believe we are really discussing this... would YOU take orders from random ppl on the internet? or rather do what YOU desire?

Their runes and gear are useless if they don't do what needs to be done. A much less geared/cash shopped person could make a much greater contribution in their place.

useless to who?
when you are satisfied after a game it was absolutely useful
when you play its not (only) about making others happy

if you want teamplay and these things there is 3x3 and 6x6 and dominion...
BG is a RANDOM skirmish

as freestile said, there is a 50/50 chance of winning a lot of amalgam and gold
andwhen you have fun with playing.... .... there is even a 100% chance of winning ;)

@ kickvotes:
usually ppl tend to kick those who think they must command and boss everyone around
those who think their comments are mandatory and everyone has to obey them are WAY more annyoing that every fulltime-AFKer

Clearly it's "slacking" in this case.
When you join any Skirmish there's an announcement in the chat that says: killing other players also brings points. So if they are bringing points, they are not slacking. And if some1 thinks he's better in something else than killing they are free to do so as well.

P.S. It would probably be good to have another column in the summary table that would show the score the player brought to the team. And I'm pretty sure those with most frags would be best at scoring as well.

kills bringing points is not known to many players for sure

it would be also nice to have statictics to see how much CC and debuffs a player caused
for example take CC psi, in current stats it will look like a useless player cause u cant see in stats it CCs debuffs etc

There are other ways to entice players into continuing to hunt for gear besides gear resets, too. Perhaps not with Allods Online as it currently is, but there are plenty of means of giving a player progressive upgrades that help them cater to their playstyle while still providing a "standard max gear" level that's competitive with other players whether they've farmed infinitely or not. The dev team simply has no interest in doing so because that's much harder to handle and requires extensive, enticing content.

The glyph system could have been good, but it was ruined outright by requiring the playerbase to use it to gain ANY important stats. Instead of fixing it, they ditched the entire thing due to the (rightfully placed) negative backlash. We've had over a hundred astral allods over the years that made for engrossing gameplay, but rather than being updated they've simply been removed outright and maybe gotten recycled down the road. So here we are, left with a fairly crappy gearing system, repeating the same small selection of astral allods over and over again, and being fed teeny tiny raids that really only just accelerate our gearing rather than providing a unique reason for engaging in them.

It's really no wonder people start showing signs of burn-out.

+1 it's one one of the best analysis of the recent patches. Glyphs (the first version, with weatlhy allods) was good, refining equipement for the best efficiency was good too.

I'd actually go so far as to say we have never had a good version of glyphs. Ideally, glyphs should not simply be more stats. Once you go down that route, there is no longer a "standard max gear" level as you have to be glyphed up in order to be competitive. What glyphs should have done was provide additional traits and customization options, letting you play around with different aspects of what your character can do or how certain skills work.

I suppose in my ideal world, gear would function the same way it did in the level 40 days. You start with rep gear, do heroics to get higher level blues and a few starter epics, go out into astral to start actually filling out your epics and maybe a legend if you're a lucky man, then fill out enough to do the main game raid to start gearing in legends. Then, from PvP (world, skirmish, AND astral) and raids, you start gaining resources to turn your gear to myth, which is purely to unlock glyph slots rather than give yourself more stats. Glyphs are grouped into certain types and what kinds of things they customize and are craftable, though each gear profession can only craft their own unique ones. Glyphs are also upgradeable to improve their efficiency... via experience points AND items gained from astral and heroics, though to upgrade a glyph you don't have the profession for, you'll have to find another player who does and PAY THEM for their services. The whole goal being, of course, to encourage players of all gear levels to cooperate and engage in all available endgame activities. This would also promote player to go out and about in the main world to hopefully create more world PvP, but also hopefully not shafting PvE players.

Of course none of this will ever happen, but a man can dream.

Some people might be, but it's difficult to play with someone when you don't know their player name or when they play.
