We can't argue with someone too dense to understand the point we're trying to make. You cannot start this game now as a fresh level 1 with literally NOTHING to your name and reach anything CLOSE to bottom-tier competitive without spending one of two things: money or six months of nothing but pure goldfarming. As Hcl said, that's PURE goldfarming, 4-6 hours per day. And that will only get you bottom-tier. If you want to move up from there, expect another four months of the gold farm.

We are not arguing that this is not doable. We are arguing that this is the reality of the situation and that your rose-tinted glasses are blinding you to it.

when i started and there were players with runes level 8 and mine was level 1 and i asked them how they did they said "CC were about 1 gold each once, but this time is gone and you cannot get these runes now easy since its 25 gold /cc now"... that was true, it was much harder for me to gt my runes than for them

it was the logical result of starting the game lately

if you start now as a fresh level 1 ofc its hard to get even close to the longtime players, thats the core mechanic of a stateful game...

its fair enough they do not waste ressources on upgrading glyphs like those with level patch 55 did and that they dont even spend one gold on level 51 gear now
also they save LOTS of time due to marks of fate and and and....
bloodlust stat also makes leveling so much easier now.... you see there are LOTs of things that help new players

oh greatness 20 instead of 100 emblems, tkarik easy as hell, BGs give insignia AND amalgam now, gear green-> blue 3 upgrades instead of 12... there is even more

even regarding mounts its good for the new ones since they wont throw gold out of the window when buying mounts that are COMPLETELY useless now (like me buying kelpie, rhino, etc)

basic green/blue items are so cheap its not even worth talking about
green earslot is 1200 gold, saw today in AH, green mountscroll is 300 gold... a new level 60 player can buy these things in 1 or 2 days!

doing KOE quests (1819 gold+squished ones) and a few battleground, maybe playing goblinball, and you have your 5000 gold every day...
when i was level 51 it took me VERY VERY long to get 5000 gold... ofc exchange is different now but if you do the math you will see comparing level 51 times (at least for me from EU server, i dont know about america server!) and level 60 times now, in SUMMARY everything is cheaper!

Are you seriously saying that my Kelpie is "COMPLETELY useless"? It doesn't go 50% faster than my horse? And my horse doesn't go loads faster than my running character? If getting on my Kelpie made no difference to my speed, that would be completely useless. No, it isn't the fastest mount, and no, it doesn't have any skills of its own (not even the ones that belong to the mount whose skin it is using), but it is much faster than my lion, my wolf, and my horse, and even more faster than my character on foot.

The other useful thing about the Kelpie is that it is rank 6, and has as many hitpoints as me, so foes can't knock me off it easily, unlike the horse/wolf/lion. (Heck, its per-second regeneration rate is higher than the horse's total hitpoints.)

But your view appears to be that only the very fastest mount has any utility at all. That's a weird world you live in, dude.
Now f2p 60 Xadaganian summy with 60/60/60 tailor/weaponsmith/alchemist, bleah gear, 555/555 runes
Now p2p 28 Xadaganian avenger with 20 weaponsmith
I'm on an extended break from Allods at the moment, but I'm lurking here to keep up with what's happening. From the looks of things in 5.0.02, I'm better off where I am.

Trust me, I am not trying to "keep people away." What I am doing is trying to have the players that do want to play this game understand what kind of dedication this game takes to be competitive. I don't want someone to just come try it for a month, finally get to level 60, and then realize they have to farm for 4-6 months to be competitive. Many people are willing and capable of doing this, however, some are not. I am just trying to save some people time.

actually for me after getting a titan which is also 13m/s kelpie became useless
when i got pegasus with over 16m/s it became even more useless while titan is still viable due to its combat-abilities for me

IF i would get a mirage / ghost now all other mounts would become useless... you see my point there?
i am so glad i never throw out any gold for prophetic card mounts :S they are only viable for collectors somehow

i know that for someone with only horse / wolf kelpie is great
but now, look at the flying carpet in shop
its faster and cheaper than your kelpie, right? if you buy it... correct, the kelpie becomes useless

maybe it would be a nice change to make the kelpie maxspeed dependent on the fastest mount you have... (min. speed stays ofc)
that would bring life back to my stable :)
