i read on the forum that players who bought from the goldseller were asked to buy this amount of BC from my.com to unblock the account
i further read that the goldseller's business is

- obtain phished ("stolen") CC numbers / logins
- "launder" the money by selling virtual goods for online games (this is why they can sell at cheap prices, they accept a little loss as "laundering fee"
- once the owners of the CCs find out they got robbed they ask the bank to suspend the CC and refund all Tx
- Tx refund affects allods -> they lose the $ that were sent to by the operators of the goldseller / money launderer service
- goldseller-company already has laundered money and ideally already cashed out / shifted the bounty
- allods company gets angry because they eventually get molested by authorities and have to proof they are not associated with the money laundering / creditcard fraud (which is a tiring task)


this is why cryptocurrencies are superior to creditcards, transactions are final and everyone is responsible for his own security...
no refunds, no complaints so if i lose my banklogin its my fault i am responsible and noone else, end of stroy - cant take it back from someone who isnt at fault

i came back a few months ago after a long break and all w/c messages from illegal sellers were sending by same nickname since i back. i heard that this situation has a backround.

Nah, it's just Union of Socialist States of Europe: those who don't work get paid, those who work do that in South-Eastern Asia without getting payed. Equality, tolerance, that kind of stuff you know.

FYI a great deal of the Moderator Team got banned as well, all we can do is to wait for new information, since we can't do a thing directly... (A moderator is a moderator, not a game master or anything like this, all we can do is forward and pass information, which we don't have at this point in time, except, that you should open a ticket here to unban your account as fast as possible)

how much longer do we need to wait?
and will the compensation be paid for this?

they like to just ban waves instead of investing time and then never any compensation for their mistakes its rly sad but nothing we can do about it
they way they treat us is rly disapointing becouse the game is so good and they destroying it

it would not be a problem if allods had 3d secure system in creditcard pays.
they prefered banning all innocent players instead of secured shopping.

you are risking your credit cards when you use them to buy legal crystals.

Moderators have higher levels of access then regular users, they can use that access to expedite the problem higher up the chain of command.

they recently changed management; maybe old management did not care enough and new management has to clean up the mess now

thats the ones who sell iems in auction and someone bought with "marked" funds which resulted in them beeing marked too

once those who do not work but rape and plunder no longer get enough money or become dissatisfied they will riot and this all will end in a very bad way for everyone without a bunker, you dont need a doctors degree in politics or economics to foresee that

since you have no power over your account they can do with it whatever they want - actually they even claim the account to be property of them all the way (which isnt even so wrong considering the databases are hosted on their servers....)
they can even close the game tomorrow if they feel like it without having to justify that
always consider that when investing time and money into some internetgame - if you do this knowingly its OK but dont do with without realizing it call can be over and you have no control over it
if you love the game get the serverfiles, this way you can make sure it can never be "taken away from you" - if you run an own serverinstance you can restore all your progress as you wish

game is totally worth to play but this banwave has been done most unfaithfully

and its well understandable if players refrain from donating as a result of the massive amount of false issued bans also this causes (very) negative mouth-propaganda among players...
allods is slowly getting away from the image of the game which curses your items when you die and where you have to $ to fix that.... and now its getting the image of the game where players (even whale-class donators) and moderators get banned for nothing

im curious if and what actions will be taken by the management as a compensation for all the false bans

a pidgin told me the following:
trolls have found ways to cause even more chaos in allods!

future way of wreaking havoc among this game:
- make a new account
- buy from the goldseller
- exchange to gold
- buy ALL items from auctions
- see ALL the players who had auctions in it get banned because they got in touch with your "dirty" gold
- "total chaos achievement has been reached"

future way of getting a specific player you hate banned:
- make a new account
- buy from goldseller
- exchange to gold
- send some gold with mail to the char you want to get banned


now on a serious approach: i hope the management makes sure the 2 stated scenarios above can NOT happen actually; this is an idea to prevent future accidents

they banned more than half of the server but there is no GM or CM around.
that's the summary of this game.
