especially if you keep in mind in a few weeks there will be the next season so you can get all the teal items from al-rihat just for the 10-minute daily quest.
I am in orange gear with teal drops and still do surprisingly well in BG, i dont think i will gearup any further for now. Rather get the complete teal set once yellow gear becomes available...

if you want to be top-competitive however and you are not satisfied with a 2nd place or a 3rd, there is no way around gearing up as gear is the strongest factor by far regarding your overall strenght...
