Hello everyone.
My name is Bubblygun,formerly known as Pdomanga (mage).My choice of picking engineer class was simple boredom of mages overall.But as soon i stepped into engi's shoes there was no going back.Class is fantastic and offers u endless opportunities to ones who know how to get most of them.I come from Empire guild called Ascendancy.Leveling engineer was fun and more important made me learn playstyle of one more class.I hope this guide will help you guys and make some to really think of trying it out (if not end up maining it,like me).Now enough of introduction and lets get to work!
Engineer role and basics:
Engineer are made to be DPS class that uses variety of mechanical inventions like Light turrets,Bombs and modified astral cannon.Engineer like mages and holy paladins draw their force from wands and wearing 1h (dagger) + offhand.
We are energy user class and as such we can maintain steady energy value while doing great dps.
At the picture below we can see engineers energy indicator (simmilar to mages entropies in some way).
*1st. circle from the left with scale in middle shows current energy your engi got.
*2nd. (Big) circle shows splited heat regulator that store energy untill its ready to unleash to an enemy dealing extra dmg with certain skills that we will cover later.
*3rd. one with fire icon is just temporary element that prevail in given moment.Can be hot,cold or neutral.
*4th. circle is temperature indicator,allowing to utilize temperature that you making by attacking with different skills.
Engineers are designed to be semi or full support class so all their skills require range attacks and trying to get out of 1 vs. 1 fights.The Engineer is a great class featuring unique spells and abilities as well as some abilities of other classes in game. (Aura of regen,Aura of potency)
Before we break into depths of engineer builds there are 2 very important things people should be aware of.There are 2 kinds of engi's playstyle:
1st is Combat mode: Engi as maxed ranged class with 60 yd. range.In Combat mode you get stationary turret that improves range,gives you some sort of shield and increasing max range of shots and bombs to 60yd. depending on type of shots.Very usefull in Deserted farm/Whiches hollow during defending point,general PVP or Dominion.
2nd is Travel mode: Travel mode gives your engi full control of his skills and high mobility usefull for kitting,single target,AOE,with medium range of fire ranging from 20 and maxed at 40 yd.It's spec i use these days and they have proven good for PVE,leveling and as i read a lot raiding (since im still not lvl60).

1.Talents
I will be only explaining skills and rubies i use in my build since this is not full guide.
Fire shot: Rank 3 Consumes 25 energy per shot (15 energy with rubies) 20 yard range. 2 second cooldown
Fire shot is one of bread and butter skill that complements our basic rotation.Best working with Synchro with its reversed polarity (which means if syncro procs u get double dmg of opposite shot,like Acid shot,Astral shot.Thats why Rank 3 is important since u will be spamming this skill all the time.
Fireburner: Rank 2 Deals XX amount of Damage to a single target in a cone shape. heats the reactor 30 degrees per second. Once the reactor Overheats the burner shuts down. Can not be interrupted by knockdowns.
Fireburner seems to be broken for now so i took Rank 2 only to be able to get Flamethrower later on and to,if needed to fast heat up reactor.
Light Turret: Rank 3 Gives XX amount of damage every 2 seconds for 10 second.
Battery Capacity: 100 charges. uses 20 charges every 2 seconds. cooldown 30 seconds.
Light turret is another must have skill since adding all rubies for turret can be really good.
Acid shot: Rank 3 Consumes 30 energy per shot 25 yard range. 2 second cooldown.Can lower it to 22 energy with rubies.
Acid shot is another spam skill that complements with Fire shot.Using it in mixed mode with fire shot u can get syncro to proc and add extra dmg that is not small.Really worthy combo.
Frag bomb: Rank 3
Combat mode: Rank 3 Gives to u turret that when mounted u be getting some sort of shield.Rank of energy needed for cannon to be destoryed is 10%/20%/30%.
This mode also gives u advantage in range by shots and bombs.It significaly increase range.Up to 60yd!There are also rubies u can pick that will increase dmg dealing by ure shots.Some people avoid Combat mode in tottal,thiking that it will slow them down or not have desired effect in PVP.But i must say with right gameplay it can be very deadly stuff.
Variable polarity: Rank 3 Hitting a target with skill that heats your reactor, will make your skills that cool the reactor do more damage. Vice Versa.

Hand Beam Cannon MK1: Rank:3 Deals XXX damage up to 3 targets cooling the reactor 30/60/90 degrees.
Another AOE thats worth putting skill points into.Not does it only do decent AOE dmg,it also cool reactor so u can use in combo with skills that require low temperature lie Dither bomb.
Personaly i think having Mosquitoes is a waste,becouse target need to stand still and its simply not my playstyle.
My opinion on this aura is that its a must have just as Aura of potency,simply becouse we are support class and we need to be prepaired for any group requirements.
