Well maybe except for a summoner to grind because even if way lower geared it's infinitely better than my main for that, but again I just make a grind build there and never open my talents panel again.

Actually I wish they made psi good for grinding, I could stop bothering with other classes entirely because I have no interest whatsoever in them. Pure efficiency reasons.

To be honest, going on the p2p after playing 100% free on the f2p felt like a breeze, it felt... almost casual.

I agree with Dala, f2p server is much more hardcore for a non-paying player than p2p server. My first mount was back on lvl 47 patch, 3 weeks after I reached lvl 46, I got the r2 horse from MI. Until then I was running everywhere mountless because I didn't have enough gold and enough time to farm for a better mount at that time so I guess I was lucky getting that r2 MI horse.

maybe you have even enough with dualspec from greatness then

best class for farming atm is however not summoner, its bard... a bard with gearscore ~ 19.500 can outfarm a warrior or whatever with GS 30.000 if in proper spec

i got my first mount when i was ~ level 20, there was the tropical atoll and i farmed crab-race for 5 hours to get my horse

i was so happy this day...

It was made ages ago, when someone on the US forums complained psi can't AoE. Well actually psi was much better for AoE farm back then.

Have you been to the p2p server?
I made a character and played it for about 90min till level 10.

In this time, i have not seen any player online, not in imperial place, nor anywhere in nezebgrad. Neither was there any chat activity.
I was curious, and was /zone, /world, /say writing and asking for any player to answer. Nothing!

Was kind of spooky, beeing the only living been on a whole server. Well i am sure i was not, but for me:
They can make p2p server free forever, i would not go there. Even in f2p server are not real enough players online. Why i would like to player Allods even more alone then this?

I'll call you a liar for saying you spammed world or shout chats, since you can't do it without megaphones, and you only get 10 of those weekly ( with keys reset ). It is indeed a baren wasteland at this point though.

Hrm, in between MMOs at the moment... figured I'd check out Allods again. If I'm understanding this correctly... it sounds like Allods is staying f2p, and the server just has to be migrated from p2p to f2p? Not sure I'd be willing to stick around if a f2p suddenly went p2p (that'd be a first in the history of MMOs I do believe). :thumbup:

As for the, "extending free subscription"... reminds me of what Anarchy Online used to do... Funcom would for always and forever be saying, "act now, the freemium only lasts until the end of the year" or "the end of fall" or whatever... next thing you know, they just kept working out "extensions"... like there was a magic seance spell they had to do with their server to make it be able to work out. :pinch:

There is 2 separate servers :
New Frontier is the F2P version
Smugglers Paradise is the P2P version (free at the moment, till there is new payment methods added)

And there is no migration from one to the other server for the moment

I will, and yes I probably need mental health care, but even with the low population I enjoy playing at p2p way more than I do at f2p, its personal preferences ofc and I clearly see the point why most people play on f2p, I had the taste of the good days of p2p server and damnit how great that was, yes times are rought, close to no hope, but we have a great solid group playing on p2p and thats good enough reason for me to pick p2p over f2p anytime

Scrap it?

I was very pro p2p server for one reason:
I was hoping it would bring more population and publicity for Allods.
This would not only mean success to the P2P server, however, some people would leak on over to the F2P and population would increase as well.

Unfortunately, they did not do enough advertising for the p2p model or Allods in general and now the server is on it's last breath.
I really wish they had some idea how to revive it, but even having a FREE pay to play server for 3+ months...

Nothing.

Hopefully something other than "scrapping it" is the best idea, but...I just don't see future in it atm (from what I'm reading - since I don't actually play on the server).
