Psi wont necessarily be weaker/worse now;
Psi may be losing Conviction rubies (as well as -enemy- Willpower getting buffed with temp cc immunity), but in the place of those rubies, there will now be rubies for +12% to all resistances (substancialy more than scouts which currently have 8% on all their resistances), which means we ll finally stop being THAT squishy.
However with the stat change psis lose their ability for high crits (thanks to the rubies for+100% crit strike chance to most of their skills), so im not sure how our dmg is gonna be now..

Although this is all pretty theoretical, i guess we shall find out soon.

From what I read on russian forums, psi still has highest +% crit chances in rubies out of all the classes. Also seen some people saying there that targeting psis first in PvP won't pay off anymore because the ratio of "what they can actually do" to "how much time/effort it takes to kill them" is now totally different than prior to 5.0

CC's been nerfed across the board, and I take from those posts that psis are average damage compared to other classes. This paired up with the change from 5.0.00.32 hotfix that matches Twin's HP with psionicist's HP (Master of Illusions ruby anyone?) might very well be true.

But we have to wait and see for ourselves.

Like Teppish said, psio has perma cc.
In 1 on 1 a decent psio can win from almost all classes.

It had. 5.0 revamps stat system completely, the control effect duration stat (Conviction, which some people me including stacked) is not present there anymore.

1v1 has never been the problem as a psi. it was getting ff'd in group encounters. and allods is mostly about group pvp. i'm curious if psi will still get focused first, or if someone else will take that place for us. lol. i really hope so.

So, I m really hoping what dala here says is also true, cuz everybody targetts psi 1st since a.) they re annoying, b.) they re easy to kill and no healer can support that much incoming dmg - esp. in mass pvp. Also ppl care about getting the 1-2 extra kills/hits than protecting their cc'ers (which they oughta be doing for the sake of "by the book" mass pvp strategy) but thats another story.. :P

Hey sup yo, psio is nice, i is a psio, i is nice ;)

Idk how it was to play psio prepatch, but atm, i think its fine o0.

Maybe a bit OP in 1vs1 but nothing rolls around 1vs1 in these type of games so that doesnt matter,

and tbh i feel psi is beri much balanced, i dont feel OP in bg (cuz i suck?), but i certainly dont feel gimped either.

guess u could say i feel the class is balanced :P
