Oh my, do you REALLY think the game is going to shut down? Think again.
It's a multimillion or even greater success in Russia. The income it brings to the
actual developers is crazy high. This warrants it's development to continue for years to come.
Now, think what kind of cost it must be (relatively, we don't have any numbers) to make a sloppy translation (you'd agree on that) and host two servers for the rest of the world. Everything (game mechanics, art, content) is already there and will be for years, it's just translating some text! We all know voice isn't being taken care of. And support isn't being taken very seriously either.
With how good the art and content is, the low-end translation won't skew the quality-to-cost ratio for the company almost at all. Even with 1000 paying players left it's a sure profit and worth keeping up, probably even with 500.
