Introduction

Hello, I'm Theran from Polish guild Plaga. As a Summoner I play continuously for more than three years and I have experienced many changes in this class. However, I belive that any change can be learn to adapt so everyone is able to create something really good.
Personally, Summoner in Allods is my very first choice and so far I don't regret it. I tried to play other classes, but this balance between high dps and healing is best for me.

Especially if I bring mass extermination.

My role in group is simple - just DPS and healing when healer can't.

I look at each Pimp My Build community event and this time I decided to take a part, because why not? Maybe my tips will help you look at Summoner from another side.
I want to convey to you my knowledge and experience, so as my every student - the easiest way.
In addition I want to everyone receive useful knowledge and apply it to experiment, creating new interesting ways to play as a Summoner.

Remember - how many players so many styles and builds!

Summoner

Summoner is one of the archetypes that are capable to inflict a lot of damage as well as heal allies so it takes place in the team as DPS or Heal (principal or to help).
Our fight is mainly based on inflicting time damage and spreading area damage which is making us a great character against large groups of enemies. But did not detract from our force to fight one vs. one, because it can be really impressive.
We rely mainly on damage of disease, acid, poison and shadow so you can say that it makes us a walking deadly plague!

Blood

In addition, the base of casting spells are mana and drops of blood stored in the blood bank on the left of the skills bar.

Blood bank may be extended by Reservoir of Blood rubies and drops of blood can be scored from:

Dark Pact skill
Vampirism/Life Tap skills
Wandering Fever skill
Blood Tap rubies (after killing enemy)
Phlebotomy rubies
Summoned Lurker pet

Changes in patch 6.0.0

Changes, which affected the Summoner in the latest patch were not huge but they added a few new features:

• New distribution of rubies (not so bad).
Phlebotomy restores drops of blood.
Stormy Reaction rubies You get chance that your Acid Bolt throw another Acid Bolt what can make additional 50% damage. Sounds attractive but it didn't convince me to Acid Build.
Impenetrable Darkness rubies More protection is always better! When your life falls to a certain percentage you will gain temporary protection against all damages by 3% per stack. Very useful!
Blood Ties rubies I'm most delighted of that! This skill moves to the next targets that are close to each other. The effect depends on the target: allies - heals them, enemies - inflicts damage.

Keep in mind that the range of Blood Ties is very limited so you want to use it for group targets ( here can help you Psionicist with Telekinetic Pull to achieve perfect combo).

Pets and special skills

A special feature of Summoner is ability to summon creatures and here you have three different types of pets:

Hellion - strong creature inflicting pretty good damage and holding enemies away from you. Great for new players and it's also available fastest of all.

Fiend/Cadaver - Two different names , the same pet - Cadaver is just upgraded Fiend. It can deal acid damage to individual and group targets. Mainly used in Acid Build.

Lurker - My favorite! Invisible until starts attacking. Deals minor damage but delivers drops of blood and can impose temporary silence effect on the enemy to prevent magical attacks.

As the Summoner in next stages of the game you get an useful class skills:

Ghostly Cover - Quite fast cooldown, great to retreat to a predetermined strategic point (escape as far as possible when it gets too hot). Additionally, with Dark Gift rubies is able to regenerate some mana. Remember, under Ghostly Cover you can use your healing spells!

Unstable Antidote - perfect to remove from yourself or friends negative effects of poison and disease. With Shadowy Reach rubies also removes one negative magic effect.

Additionally, depending on the race:

Arisen Dark Touch - instantly heals your pet to 100%.

Elves Demonic Curse - impose a temporary damage on the enemy and heals you and your pet.

Kanians Dust to Dust - reflects 50% incoming damage to your pet.

Xadaganians Art of Reanimation - incrase your Vigor by 50% and reduces the cooldown of skills by 30%

Over time, as your character will gain a higher level, you will unlock the last two skills:

Pandemia - Causes an "explosion" imposed on the target DOT (Damage Over Time) skills inflicting immediate damage. If some of this skills are not on the target Pandemia will add them automatically. However, it's better to use it when all effects are already imposed on the target.

Dark Vigor - temporarily affects on your pet according to its kind:

  • Hellion - stun

  • Lurker - group healing

  • Fiend/Cadaver - reinforcement of next three acid attacks

To use them you will need Tears of the Dragon - you can get them in a boutique or doing daily tasks. Higher quality of tears speed up cooldown of these skills.

Statistics and weapons

In addition to basic statistics - Vigor and Stamina - I would recommend:
Proficiency (increases damage/healing)
Determination (increases damage/healing relative to incoming damage)
Vitality (increases HP)
Brutality (increases damage/healing relative to target's HP lost).

Additional statistics and their proportions are very individual so I encourage you to spend points as you think it's well.

Moreover, Summoner can choose between two types of weapons: Two-Handed and Knife + Offhand.

Two-Handed Weapon is a great choice for PvE where is a high demand for mana, so this option is the best for players who begin their adventure with Allods Online.

Knife + Offhand is a typical PvP choice where you need high damage at the expense of the amount of available mana.

During the endgame is worth considering the supply in both types of weapon as we participate in both PvP (AoD, skirmishes) adn PvE (Astral isles, raids).

Builds

I want to present you a Hybrid and FullHeal build which are for me are perfect after reaching Greatness, especially since I prefer to play in a team (a lot of benefits of co-operation with other players).

But first, briefly about the most important talents:

Blood Aegis - Shield incrasing your armor and protecting against interrupting casting spells. Reinforced with rubies Blood Aegis and Urgent Protection gets a chance to gain stacks when receiving a drop of blood.

Rise from the Dead - one of the Summoner largest assets, return to live with a certain amount of HP after receiving a deadly hit. Additionally, you receive temporary protection against all attacks. You need to spend points on Frightful Presence rubies which reduces the cooldown to re-obtain second chance.

FullHeal Build

Build great for healing allies when there's lack of a decent healer because no one will feel a significant difference (less lights, more blood). Additional rubies are marked so if you have extra points you can invest them there but it's not necessary.

In this build I decided to give up healing with Blood Ties because it's rarely to allies stand close enough to each other - it's better to use Plague of Mending on two players away from each other to reduce the shortages of the skill range.
In addition it's worth to keep Dark Renewal for every member of the team because it helps to control their HP and allows you to focus on the player who receives the most damage (mostly tank).

Hybrid Build

Good balance is allowing you to deal really big damage and heal up when someone does not like poisoning his fellow on the battlefield. The strength of this build is visible primarily on groups (both PvE and PvP). I marked additional rubies.

And this version is for the beginners - Helion is holding enemies away from you instead of Lurker.

Rotation of skills is pretty simple (and you can change it if you want):

or

As you can see - first are DOT effects then other spells.

When you have group of enemies pulled thogether start with Volatile Infection and Blood Ties, then spam with Putrefy/Decomposition or use Neurotoxin with Withering Touch rubies (it will add automatically Putrefy/Decomposition). Next use Wandering Fever, Howl of Dead (a lot of damage) and Vampirism/Life Tap.

And then you just keep adding faded effects.

You'll notice that I prefer Dark Pact of Phlebotomy because for me it's faster and more comfortable skill. But carries a risk of sudden death by unattended HP bar (belive me, it happens).
In addition I am not fan of Aura of Astral Power in Summoner talents because the reduce effectiveness of healing is too large - it's better to use Aura from another party member.

Reincarnation

Regarding the ability from reincarnation (the second form which will be available on higher levels) I think it's also individual thing adapted to your preferred style of playing. At this stage you already know what's your strengths and weaknesses and which skill would be most useful to you.

However I'll share with you my choice for reincarnation which I personally recommend - it's Mage and Healer because both of them can give you really nice extra protection.

From Mage you can take:

Stone Barrier - This shield is absorbing physical damage per stack.

Elemental Shield - that one is absorbing any magical damage per stack.

From Healer my recommendation is:

Holy Shield - it makes you temporary immune to all damage.

Summary

This is just a proposal to facilitate building your own build and get to know the strengths and weaknesses of Summoner.
Remember, the best build is your own because in spite of mistakes you still learn how to create your ideal character in the game.

Go Summoners! Show them our might!
