[PMB]Hirodyn's Templar Build

Hi all Hirodyn here with my Elf Templar League(paladin) lvl 65 of Guild Guilty Crown but im currently in the guild Core giving you my look on the class and my thoughts on builds etc.


I Dps as well as tank which I prefer to do.I like pally because I like to have survivability available to me aka harder to kill.I also like the combat system Allods uses so melee class is much fun in comparison to other games.

With the latest patch a few things were added to the pally's talent grids.


1.Pledge of Allegiance-With a 10% chance restores a canon of light when the barrior is split.

As a Tanker this ruby is very useful seeing as how if your doing your job you will be breaking barriers nonstop, with r3 youll have a 30% chance per barrier that breaks to gain a light canon.Best for holy tanks.

2.Pure Thoughts-With a 20% chance restores a canon of purity per each enemy killed by your direct atk.

This ruby..if only it said "per enemy killed by your party" or something that didn't mean my atk out of the others in group had to kill it.At r3 its a 60% chance but the odds of it being useful I think are lower so I don't take this save the rubies.

3.Anger Flushed-Cooldown duration of melee atks is reduced by 10% while under the Rightous Cause effect.

If you use Rightous cause (useful for both tanks and DPS in my opinion) this ruby comes in very handy, with r3 its a 30% reduce in CD between atks meaning faster atks=higher DPS.



As for my build ill use my newest experiment being mainly Tanking with aspects of dps so that I could use it even if im stuck being unable to change builds for awhile lol So lets call it a tanking hybrid of both physical and holy aspects useful for both astral and raiding.



Crusaders blow tree:

Disciples power r3-Prof+9

Zealots fury r3-Deter+9

Searing justice r2-When a divine sentence is removed, target receives xx holy dmg per stack of the effect.Divine sentence no longer stacks I might add since the new patch(changed).

Divine purpose r2-Brut+6

Certain victory r3-You inflict 19.2% dmg to enemies whose health is 50% or less.The extra dmg is sure to add a lil more aggro to your atks.

Chastizing strike r1-Lets face it tanking as pally isn't the easiest lack of aoe could be 1 factor I don't have money to throw ingame like I wish so I simply got this ruby as an extra aoe to help with agro.having a 2nd aoe does help wonders when used right in your pulls so only r1 is needed more if youd like it.





Retribution tree:

Guilty conscience r3-Your righteous word inflicts xx periodic dmg and generates an additional 150% threat.Its use?tanking if you don't know now you do.

Reparation r1-Resurrects a fallen allie with 10% max hp, Can be used in combat.This may just be the best heal in the game for the fact that even while in combat you can res an ally.Very usefull in all aspects but pvp(as ppl tend to res asap rather than w8 for a res).

Self sacrifice r1-Restores all canons of light but all dmg in first holy barrier is dealt to you.fast easy way to gain light canons in an emergency etc.

Monks reflexes r3-Tena+15, means you get healed better and don't gain wounds as fast.

Purifier r2-Increases crit rate of holy spells by 10%.Better than nothing.

Challenge r1-An instant agro skill to pull mobs for allies, of course its a must for any tanking builds.CD is kinda long to be too usefull so use with care.

Rightous force r3-Reduces CD of righteous word, interdiction and anathema by 30%.

Exorcism r3-Increases dmg of condemnation by 60%.I went for these this time around due to the fact that im sure the ticks over time added with RW add a nice amount of threat to all mobs its on.

Martyrs gift r3-Increases dmg of our holy spells by 27%.

Repel evil r3-Incoming magic dmg decreased by 12%.I never used to get these b4 but after some experimenting (and being bombarded by mages) I noticed that it is in fact useful as a tank.





Overcome tree:

Rightous vitality r3-Increases vitality by 15%.aka more hp.

Extra barrier r2-Increases the amount of holy barriers to 3.

Shield slam r1-A nice atk with a knockdown effect good for both pve and pvp.

Protection of faith r2-Decreases the cooldown time of barrier abilities by 20%, Decreases energy cost of overcome and deliverance by 40%.I only got r2 due to the fact needed more rubies elsewhere and that 10% more cd isn't much, Perseverance is more useful as far as CD's go.

Self healing r3-If your health drops below 30% 30% of your total health will be restored to you.

Departing light r3-When a holy barrier is destroyed, amount of healing you receive is increased by 9% for 10 secs and 12 energy are restored.Meaning when low on energy break a holy barrier or 2.These will be active on you a lot as you tank.

Combat inspiration r2-Gives you a 10% chance to parry atks from 1handed wpns.This one confuses me.Idk if that means my enemies who have a 1hd or if I have a 1hd it will parry more idk but useful either way.

Perseverance r3-When your holy barrier absorbs a hit, with a 40% chance, cooldown time of overcome, deliverance, vindication and self sacrifice abilities is decreased by 6 seconds.CD of skill is 4 secs.This if im not mistaken was changed from being a critical hit only to "when your holy barrier absorbs a hit" meaning it became more useful.this I think is more needed than protection of faith but both have their uses.

Pulsing rays r3-Dmg stored in your holy barriers decreases by 3% every 3 secs.Prob my fav ruby in this tree cus cmon that's 1% dmg per second being erased from your barriers without doing a thing else.not needed but hard to go without once your used to seeing all that dmg fade over time.Can be useful to Dps aswell for more survival.





Talent tree:

I grabbed r3 condemnation and anathema for tanking groups of mobs ana r3 for the max range and condem for the max dmg Dot at an attempt to increase my agro hold over mobs.

Sacred sunrise at r1 to both save Tp and to get extra dps when I can afford it.

Both touch of light and solemn prayer at r3 for the heal and for the extra defense which is very handy though the heal still sucks.

Using righteous cause before using pious anger will reduce the number of tears needed by the skill,Useful tip. ^^

Auto-dafe r2 for the cc.

Everything else is used for helping to keep agro and do dmg otherwise.

If you prefer tank i suppose you use 1h+shield, so why waste points on melee skills? mixing melee and holy is not good, either one or the other.

Yeah I figured someone was gonna say something like that, and I used to agree but as stated I duse this build for many things.Sometimes melee range is needed others melee range is deadly so I use ranged.Its a nice mix considering.Also tried being pure holy tank and tbh using only holy skills to tank?Not happening lol.
