I'm not very sure about this. By the time I give up on playing there was only one really active guild - Utopie - on the Imp-Side. They were around ~20 active Members, I guess. Our own guild just vanished, an we ended up being only 4 active guys in our guild.1. Approx. how many active players (do you think) there are on the subscription based server at the moment?
As I explained, there're these two guilds. And I guess my own old guild exists still either, even if there're just one or two players at the moment.2. Are there many active guilds, or are there like 4 guilds with constant drama between them?
Insidious' thread speaking about that either. They mean, that they coul pop up skirmishes very often in the last weeks. Also, dominion seemed to have some fights with full teams, without this one-men-group-tactics, y'know.3. Are there long waiting times for skirmishes? Which skirmishes usually have the longest waiting times?
No, theoretically.4. Is there any content in the game that can't be played (or can rarely be played) due to the low population?
Yes, and even later on. There might be some active players, and even guilds, around. but that doesn't mean that you would see many of them everytimes. You can be surprised, if you see around 10 players in your faction city. You just need a sh*tload more players to avoid the feeling of being lonely.5. Will I be running around forever alone during my leveling phase?
As we figured out before with my ultimatively maths-skills, I'd guess both sides are quite balanced at the moment.6. Which faction is the most populated one?
That's the good side of the p2p-server: You can get all gerneral and important stuff in quite a short time.7. Since you have to buy everything for gold, is there a higher gold drop/quest rate on the server? Or do I simply have to be a hardcore gamer with >8 hours free time every day to farm gold in order to get all the convenient stuff like ship upgrades, talent/ruby respecs, etc.?
As I didn't enter f2p-server for a long time now, I can't really answer this.8. Question for someone who knows the current currency rate on the fp2 server: How much gold would it cost to convert for enough crystals to buy a 30 day subscription? (1000 crystals)
Since I know nothing about the P2P server except it's low population and it's no-CS...I will not comment on the rest of it...
Some interesting info I found btw by looking at the calculations made by IAmGroot on this page: [http://allods.my.com/forum/index.php?pag…D=2808&pageNo=1]. Buying only the necessary CS items ingame (for competitive gaming at least), you need to spend ~13741 crystals. That's about1 year and 223.9 days (~7,46 months) worth of subscription time for the sub. server.
And this is only the green/blue stuff. If you want the top-tier stuff, which may be needed for competitive PvP, you need to spend about 236744 crystals. That's more than 27 years worth of subscription time.
