Very noobish new player, question on Melee Healer

Hello all!

First of all, I apologise for my complete and utter noobishness when it comes to the game, but from what I've played so far, I love it!

My question is this, are Melee Healers still a thing? And are they competitive in PvP?

Yes melee healer is still good, and in Aspect of Support very decent in pvp. You can play it in Aspect of Assult too but they are very squishy due to lack of their defense.
