Hello there,

Personally I'm focusing on Proficiency & Bloodlust. I sneak in Crit (Chance, mostly) when I can seeing as crit-heals (including bloodlust heals) can up your blood via a particular ruby. Not mandatory but it's a help, in a meta that involves running constantly and not standing in one spot spamming blood generators. It is also nice if/when you crit when using the ramp-up / delayed mechanic of HoD or Vamp, can push out some impressive burst when you absolutely need it.

Given we can't entirely choose the stats we get, I also prefer Nature damage & Crit Damage over most others as an Assault Summy (when unable to get Proficiency and/or Bloodlust). Everything else I consider for the swap-pile. Anyhow, that's just me - may or may not be the best way to go about things.

Don't forget to check out the lovely 'stat guide' one of the members posted in the General forum if you need to study what each stat actually does.

proficiency (& brutality); avoid determination
bloodlust
I'm not entirely sure I understand your reasoning. Why would a class known for AoE DoTs want to avoid determination, the stat that's better than proficiency as long as you can keep doing damage to keep your bar up? This does not make sense to me. As for stats while leveling, I'd definitely choose det, prof, and bloodlust where possible. If a gear piece gives det and a defensive stat that isn't bloodlust, take that gear piece anyway. The only exception is if you find a piece of gear with crit rate on it while leveling, then take that. My guess is, though, that you won't find any with stats other than prof/det/brut and vit/bloodlust.

i recommend avoiding determination for a rookie leveling because usually these players do never profit from it
also, in leveling there are plenty of singletarget situations

usually the enemy is dead before the 100% are reached, even with strong items etc
because of this proficiency is better

leveling items are only with prof/det/brut and vit/bloodlust, correct
exception are items that drop from enemies, they have willpower

... but as always, its only a recommendation, everyone can form a good picture with the infos gained from here and thus decide what fits him most :)

Hey everyone. I have a summoner stat question and thought this may be a good place for it.

So I saw a really helpful thread that suggests brand new players reset their stats before level 15 (because it's free) and move some of the vitality points into proficiency. I think this is an excellent recommendation (more offense vs. defense), but I have NO idea how to determine how many points to put into each. :S Would anyone mind giving some tips? Thanks!

EDIT: Never mind, guys. To anyone reading this in the future, I answered my own question. It turns out the suggestion I read was to move ALL of the points into proficiency. (Or to put some into brutality... NOT vitality.) The thread I'm referring to is here: http://allods.my.com/forum/index.php?pag…d&threadID=5703
