To high to get low level mats to drop?

I reached max character level recently and wanted to level up leatherworking. Problem I am having is how do I farm low level mats that I need when my character is too high to farm the low level mobs? They apparently aren't dropping nothing for me. How do you guys works around leveling a profession at level 1 when your chaarcter is 70?

Use vial of retroform on the mat it will decrease the lvl of it .

The quest for your profession when you select it should net you some low level mats and a few levels in it just completing the related quests. However, after that it becomes hard. You gotta rely on the Auction House (f2p) or spend time going to the lower level zones and asking levelling players for their mats. You can also use vials from the npc to change quality of mats.
