New summoner is so... still, you dont move, you just spam vamprism in place until you have required blood drops and then you can actually do something, I don't know why they have changed this class so dramaticly.

The fact you are getting killed by summoners doesn't make them OP.

I really miss the mechanics of the 42 Acid summoner. It was one of the few interesting play styles in my opinion. Being able to erase someone's armor so that a warrior could one-shot them was kind of awesome.

That said, I'd take any pre 7.0 summoner over the current ones. I don't care if they are "OP" or not. They are not fun to play.

i'm not talking about me. I said generally. and u dont stay, u can move while using spells. u need to learn and some experience.

lol summy is nearly unbeatable in a 1v1 or even 1vs2 against others^^ only mage and pally even have a chance to begin with ;) i see this is dominion quite often a good summy jumps into 6 same geared and same csed players who actually know how to play and survives sometimes for several minutes while taking 1-2 with him... summy IS op^^

gosh how do i miss the old lurkersummy, ALL peeps were just to stupid to but a slow or lethargie on lurker and spam purify to remove bloodshields (look video in first post against gummis) instead they damaged into 80%absorb.
all time i had undergeard mage or bard in BGs i just spammed ouverture and dispell on opsummys and three seconds later they took a look who doesit then i got focus... such an honor.
it was always so funny to see a summy jumping nearby in enemycrowd convinced hes totally godmodestylish and crippling down in seconds without his shields just by one fugeinA on lurker and three four ouvertures... loved that!
PLS make Tekians playable race. fix shipcanons!

rubies locked to certain talents are silly

i miss old dark empathy hot desperately

new features are a good thing
throwing away something old that performed very well is not :(

For leveling and farming sure, support build is the best one.
But even on other builds I never had any problems with blood drops. The only thing you are not allowed to do is spamming howl of death like crazy, when you've low crit chance. (~280 should be enough to have at least no worries about the blood, when you keep an eye on your actual blood drops). With around 400-500 crit chance you probably never have any problems (except when you just have one target and spamming howl of death like crazy).

Actually a assault summoner can keep tank alive by using an 60% heal every minute, give blood aegis, dispel annoying dots, use percentage based heal, make him invincible shortly before he would die, still dealing good dps. Also can aoe-immobilize mobs for 3 seconds so the tank can escape annoying adds. etc. And this on p2p, where you can't rush on s2 allods ;)

Even the heal is really strong. It combines blood aegis with AoE - Defense buff and really strong healings. The only thing annoying is that you've to be careful about needed AoE-Healing 'cause for more dmg on the whole group, you just can stand and channel or use dark vigor (every 4min...) to move while channeling.

In Support aspect you can keep yourself up with bloodlust and even if you fall down to 40% you are not getting serious dmg and can use percentage-based healing (blood ties) to heal yourself up again. You can stun, immobilize, slow, apply weakness and vulnerability. Dealing great AoE-Dmg and you are completly mobile (beside casting volatile infection or blood feast). I cannot find anything which would destroy the fun of playing this class in pvp for me ?(
Well ok... maybe the global cooldown but still everyone has it, and your howl of death isn't affected by this. And even if... you can apply 9 seconds of temporal acceleration to you, which decreases the global cooldown to ~1 second.

And when you are empty and you cannot reset it cause the next fight is starting.... Well than you can start getting blood drops with blood ties, blood feast and life tap, 'cause you cannot do anything yeah. But still then if you are aware of this, then you know that you shouldn't use skills which would wipe your entire blood bank.

I think the summoner is really fun to play in pve and in pvp. Don't know how some have problems with blood on him.
The only thing thats annoying me is that I just have 2 skilltrees. So I've to switch everytime between support and heal for example.

from what i have read in the Russian notes for 7.2 the support ruby blessing of the dead is no longer aspect locked and the damage reduction is increased to 10/20% but not sure if it still gives 1 blood drop every 3 seconds if it does then Assault summoner will be good with Allod rushing so hopefully Assault will be more effective. [EDIT: Blessing of the dead rubies no longer generate blood drops]

from the patch notes and bad Russian translation
Fixed milestone "Bless the Dead": Removed the requirement aspects. Also, this milestone now reduces the cost of the blood on the ability to "greedy shadows" 1/2 pcs., But damage from this effect is also reduced by 10/20%.
