"Operation is impossible" message when trying to buy crystals

Anyone else get this message when trying to buy crystals with a debit and/or credit card? Were you able to get it resolved and if so, how did you get it resolved?

A ticket to customer service 5 days ago, although professionally polite, has been of absolutely no help.

I'm experiencing the exact same as you, with similar floundering from support.

I've received a single response stating that "Your ticket has been transferred to the relevant support team!" Nice :) Are they in Dane or something? Did we miss the distortion required to save the support team?

We're trying to give you people money here :P

This happened to me and I had 2 different ways to work around it. The first is to lower the amount you're trying to purchase with a credit/debit card (there's a maximum apparently) and your second option is going to be to use a different payment method; for me, PayPal works "best" (by this, I mean that they'll process your money and take it out of your account, but you just won't receive any crystals unless you send in a ticket - or at least this is what a lot of players are expieriencing)

Meh, it's no real drama. I just won't make the purchase. I can't lower the amount I'm trying to pay, because I wanted to purchase a collectors edition, and the price is what it is.

At the end of the day, if they wanna sell me something, they should make an interest in making purchase easy. I don't walk into a shop only to be told by the sales clerk "I'm sorry, sir, you can't buy that item, because we only accept x many dollars in one transaction." or "I'm sorry, sir, you'll have to raise a ticket with our support, or pay using a different method because we don't accept money in that form here." or better still "Sorry, sir, you'll have to pay using a delayed transaction method, and then inform us once you've paid and raise a ticket with our support, who will then at their convenience release the purchased good to you." and the even better "I'm sorry, we're not accepting that form of payment right now, for no apparent reason, please contact support, who will ignore/fob you off until they feel like dealing with it, at which point it will still be difficult for you to purchase that piece of digital code. Please come again. Your continued patronage is important to us."

You're actually joking, right? xD Thanks for the laugh fellers, I appreciate you taking the time to write up the responses, as comical as they were.

Thanks for the responses. I had tried to buy 2500 crystals which failed so I tried to buy 1000; that failed as well. I had also tried to buy 5000 which failed.

This morning I tried the same thing again and surprise, the 1000 worked! However, when I tried to buy a second 1000 my bank blocked the activity as possible fraud since I did two low-dollar activities back-to-back. I had to call the bank and clear it as okay. Going out on a limb I bought 1100 crystals and it worked. All 2100 crystals were instantly available for use.

According to the bank, My.com payments go through/to Amsterdam. I wonder if it due to high fraud in Europe? I would be surprised if My.com doesn't know about this issue; I wonder why they haven't openly addressed this to promote customer satisfaction and sales?

Anyway, I hope this helps in some way!

It is shocking how easily people decide to actually pay money to game publishers.

I never, EVER do that unless I know the product and that it's well worth it, whether through some sort of free trial or clocking many hours (sometimes days, depends how complicated the game is to get a good grasp on) on different streams/videos/reading community resources that highlight as much as possible.

I guess I've found a major reason why games have become so shitty lately - people part with their money too easily.

Ok so, Last time they had a collectors edition thing I had the same problem. sent in a ticket and this is what I got back.

According to the information provided by our partners, your attempts to pay are rejected due to the fact that the payments you made during 24 hours exceeded €/$70.

You need 48 hours (it took me a total of 72 hours) to purchase this. Pretty stupid that they have a limit on what you can put on your account when something like the collectors editions take more money then they are willing to allow you to put on your account.
