Don't be silly. Why give parts if raid isn't open to everyone anyway (ie implemented to the game). Yes, I get that it delays gearing, but you're in no way falling behind.
Depends on how you mean. We're certainly not falling behind in relation to others on the same server, yes. It does mean we're falling behind in comparison to players on the RU servers. Taken on its own, that's a pretty meaningless comparison. But consider this: with the rate that we have been getting patches, my.com's claim that they'll be keeping us closer in line with RU's release schedule, and the tendency of the game devs to balance progression around a certain expected gear level achieved by their server's top groups, there is a very real possibility of an
imbalance being created when we transition to the next patch. This is before accounting for players becoming disenchanted with the game because they want to engage in new content that exists, but they're locked out from, or ending up bored the next patch because they don't have the expected gear and are thus forced into going through the slow, grindy, unchallenging early gear game.
But I will agree that just handing out materials doesn't feel like the right option, either. For once I won't even fault my.com for not stepping up in providing what they players ask for, there's a very real chance they might be ironing out bugs or translation issues like proper tooltips for buffs/debuffs specific to the new raid. But we would all really like better
communication of when we might expect to have access to the content.
