Gwiniel's extra swimwear design

Posting this for Groot's request, so here you go.. the knee length you wanted to see :)

The female creation was my first attempt but discarded it as it didn't pass as swimwear from my own judgement.

Edit: The knee length male swimwear is now my contest entry and I took the short version out. You can see it in this post now.

Thanks for your opinion - changed the knee length design as my "official" entry in the swimwear thread since you liked it so much.

I think we've already found the winner of this contest ;)
What an impressive job you've made creating these swimsuits, the female one looks a bit like a spanish corrida outfit, was it the aim? The result is just freaking awesome anyway

No, it wasn't the aim. All I knew in the beginning was that I wanted to make red swimsuit with black "highlights". So I played around with gothic and lolita manga styles at first and ended up with that, which really isn't either of the styles. To me it almost looks like some weird rose. Anyways, thanks for your comments, although the female "dress" is not in the contest :) See the official event thread for the entry swimwears ^^

And thanks Yuna and Kurtcobain for your comments

Has nothing to do with swimwear, just didn't want to make another post for this. Got inspired to do something else and here's the result. Yes, I had real gowns from internet as model to this one so it's not 100% original idea, more like a combination of 3 gowns I liked...

I am so late to all these threads... I need to check the forums much more often :S
I absoutely love the red/black swimwear... I see a flamenco influence in the female design. Also, the gown is beautiful. Simple, traditional but chic. I wish that was the actual Allods wedding gown design. Bravo!!! Bellissima!!! you are a high end fashion designer in the making, my dear! I'd love to see more !!

[p.s. I am one of the biggest vanity maniacs in the game so expect more OTT comments like this ]

Thank you Midnighttree and AO-Player for the kind comments. Too bad my designs didn't make to top 3 in swimwear contest. The gown has 1 major flaw which makes it unsuitable for Allods - it's asymmetric. That's also the fact that makes the dress beautiful in my opinion.

Since the swimsuit contest event won't happen this year, I'm posting this here... It would have been my this year's entry "honoring" the Aodoi race and their Greek origins. Put even more effort in this than in previous years as it is traditional art, which is very slow and painstaking for me to do. Digital art is more convenient as you can zoom-in for small details, use layers for transparency etc. and can play with colors as much as I want.

And because scanners are crappy when trying to scan traditional art, I too (like so many others), had to take a photograph from my drawing and add more contrast to make light colors visible, thus the paper looks grayish and the swimsuit blues aren't 100% the same hue as they really are. Also reduced the resolution to a more forum friendly size.
