Rubies related to Aspect of Assault or Defense

/

Noob question here : if a ruby is written as "aspect of assault" (or defense) does it mean that its effect won't work unless you have the aspect switched on ?

For example : Complex Poisons Ruby on Scout increases poison damage by 5%, but it says Aspect of Assault. So If I have Defense on, poison damage won't be increased by 5% ? or is it just bad translation ?

Not only if you have Defense on. If you don't have Assault on, that is if you have either Defense or no aspect at all, they don't work, they are like empty ruby.

Hello,

Dala is correct. If you take X ruby but do not actually use X aspect related to said ruby, you will not gain the effect of the ruby in any way, shape or form. Be sure to check the tooltips closely when forging your build as it can be easy to skip over this important factor and end up with rubies that give you 0% benefit.

Regards,
Mhul
