Dear Sarnaut,

After successfully securing a foothold on Dane, the League & Empire – united in desperation – prepare their troops for the next phase of their campaign against the Architects, hoping to prevent the destruction of all life on Sarnaut.

The road is long, tensions are high and much work needs to be done!

While battle commanders draw their plans for the next stages of the inevitable assault, task forces are being sent to gather goods, slay problematic enemies and achieve specific goals in a combined effort to reach a particular goal before the war against the Architects resumes.


During the Task Force event – which begins on the 24th of June – players of all levels and experience must accomplish various achievements to earn points. These points represent your own individual 'contribution', and also get added to the "Global Score".



If the Task Force reaches the designated global score before the 24th of July, both servers will be rewarded with a special Lucky Hours Bonus to celebrate! Individual prizes are also handed out based on your individual contribution.

Professions

► Create an epic Weapon – 10 points.

► Create an epic Cloth armour piece – 10 points.

► Create an epic Plate armour piece – 10 points.

► Create an epic Leather armour piece – 10 points.

► Create 15 Potions of the same type & quality – 10 points.




► Give money to a beggar – 10 points.

► Get married (or divorced) – 10 points.

► Go for a cold swim in Eljune – 10 points.

► Take part in the Kirah race or Wandering Isle race – 10 points.

► In full class-costume (any tier), salute your class trainer in your capital city – 10 points.




► Visit an astral trading post – 10 points.

► Salvage a floating ship wreckage – 10 points.

► Loot a ship device from demons in the astral – 10 points.

► Board a ship belonging to an opposing faction player – 10 points.

► Allow demons (any) to board your ship, then slay them – 10 points.




► Complete a Time-Void – 10 points.

► Complete a solo Distortion – 10 points.

► Visit Gorluxor in his own tower and wave at him – 10 points.

► Kill any raid boss and dance on their corpse – 10 points.

► Kill the final boss of a non-raid Allod/Dungeon with a full group of non-mercenaries – 10 points.




► Win a random skirmish – 10 points.

► Win a Goblinball match – 10 points.

► Win a ranked arena match – 10 points.

► Loot a chest in June Catacombs – 10 points.

► Capture a chest in the Arena of Death – 10 points.





Each individual task can only be completed once per account.

To show completed tasks, we require (unedited) screenshot(s) that clearly display your achievement(s), uploaded to a picture-hosting site of your choice (such as imgur.com), supplied to the Task Force Submission thread via a SINGLE POST ONLY (multiple posts will not be counted). A template is supplied in the entry thread for reference.

Total contribution points per player, as well as the global score, will be tallied at the end of the event.

In some cases, system-chat messages or other in-game notifications must be clearly visible (such as crafting log or victory notifications etc). Once satisfied with your contribution(s) to the event, quote the task(s) you completed, supply links to the screenshot(s), and confirm your in-game name and server.

Sure, but given achievements are once per account, and not all accounts will be able to complete all achievements for X or Y reason, consider this a test run for balancing future events.

We wanted to make something new that didn't alienate players too much. No better way than actual in-game achievements. We'll likely make a far more balanced one for future events, with far greater achievements list and much higher global score.

Hey guys,

As said in the rules, tasks can be done once per 'account', meaning you could do a profession task on main, a raid on reinc etc., but once a task is done/submitted to the entry thread you can't repeat it on another character for another 10pts (eg. you can't make 'an epic cloth piece on main, then another epic cloth piece on reinc, as you already completed the task).

Eg. If you are a Summoner, wear a complete Summoner (class) costume and salute the Summoner trainer. There are many costumes of various tiers for class/race combinations, such as the "Heretic" sets for Arisen Healers, "Inquisitor" sets for Xada Healers, "Priest" sets for Kanian Healers etc., as well as various class-only (non-race) sets achievable from raiding (eg. "Astral Mage" is classed as a Mage costume).

In short, wear a complete costume related to your class (any tier -- doesn't have to be race-specific) and salute your class trainer.

It does indeed - so long as the costume is of your class.

As a Defiler (Xada Summoner), you can complete the achievement by saluting the summoner trainer wearing, say, a Savant costume (Arisen Summoner). They're not dependant on race, just class -- and any tier (including raid costumes).
