Blue cristals through steam

Ok so, when I came back to the game after seeing it was going to be available on steam, I thought we would be able to buy blue cristals through steam so non european residents could actually buy blue cristals without spending large amounts of money.

So my question is, is this ever gonna actually happen ?

Welcome back to Allods :)

Subscription is purchased using blue-crystals (not actual money, unless you intend to buy the crystals with money -- in which case the end result is the same), thus we don't have subscription/steam wallet functionality at this time. Having subscription tied to blue crystals allows players to purchase subscription via in-game means, leftover crystals from purchases, or simply buy it outright by purchasing the required amount of crystals needed to subscribe for the chosen length of time.

Given lack of account linking between steam and non-steam accounts, it would be safer overall for purchases to be performed on-site even if the feature existed. Steam is new territory for us and no doubt we'll be improving things over time in various ways, but for now it is not possible.

Will never happen, and even if it does, your problem won't be solved. Heres why:

Currently, heres what you would pay.
In the EU, you will pay 1 euro to 100 bc
In the UK, you will pay approx. £0.80 to 100 bc.
£0.80 gbp ~= 1 euro.

However, steam does not convert prices correctly. In reality,
The EU will pay 1 euro to 100 bc
the UK will pay approx. £0.70 to 100 bc.
£0.70 gbp ~= 0.9 euro

So what stops EU players changing their region to the UK to make purchases?
Nothing.

If some lower currency/economic area pays less than the equivalent, then everyone will change region to there.

Basically, even if the prices change by region, everyone can change region through steam and still pay the same price.
So that ratio of crystal bought would still be the same.
We would just have super inflation and everyone will think they are getting more but they are actually getting the same.
