Well i've been played 2h-mace build very long time and still it does do decent damage output, not great not poor. There is couple ways to build with or without aqua.
These build are made with 56 rubies.
with aqua i use this,

on this build you lower characters damage output 'cause don't have clout, which is kinda useless on 2h melee build but it's nice filler on rotation.
Rotation should go Flash lightning -> Grab! -> Hawk's strike -> Shred! ->Hawk's strike -> Flash lightning ->Grab! -> Wolf's Blow.
So basicly you filler with Clout or wolf's blow that 2nd Acute Pain will end and deal damage while you wait Shred coming for CD.
without aqua i use this,

same rotation as before but on boss fight i use those little pet's which are useless and do not make almos nothing there have to put somewhere those 2 rubies. Could take more parry or armor since i use ferocity aura.
Both build has same idea every 2nd Acute Pain (painshock) will run out of time to do damage and Clout/wolf's blow will fill that cap. if running out of life then spam Hawk's strike to get some heal.
if you want test some PvP build then you should take all defence rubies parry/dodge/endurance. And bark shield+ agility increase.

i didn't take pet regen speed while rest 'cause i don't see that so usefull on PvP. AoD you died so quickly your pet almost never run out of energy, on other PvP contest almost same thing. When enemy figures out that you're melee they will kill you really fast. I'd like to stay on those who use mana and spam Hawk's strike to drain their mana's.
Melee warden is fun to play, but what i like to see is that dev should make 2h build more usefull than now like if got r3 clout and r3 swing up or pilgrim's way, we get extra swing on clout/wolf's blow. Something like that or atleast 50% change to get.
