+ Holy / Elemental / Nature / Physical dmg vs + Proficiency

is there any point in choosing holy dmg when i can choose proficiency on my gear? holy dmg does not cover all skills (f. e. skills which deal physical dmg) while proficiency does + its the same amount...?

Depends on class and spec. Easiest way it to check your DPS and see how much of it is covered by holy damage (while keeping your current stats in mind). Should be fairly obvious whether the holy damage is worth to do or not. Alternatively just get insignias and do DPS sessions with both setups, see which one works for you better.

In case of healers though, all those damage types increase healing and they should do better than proficiency.

but this would prerequesite that the % increase from singledamagetypes is higher than the overall % increase from prof, which by description is NOT the case

I have been thinking the same for summoners as i use just holy damage but then 3 of our skills are lower and so i have been thinking Proficiency/Brutality combo and maybe some determination just for pve, though it could be it needs some balance of Holy and Natural.

Check this guide: http://allods.my.com/forum/index.php?pag…&threadID=10679 According with that the elemental damage is higher. Still, for psi i have the same doubt, rise holy and lose damage from physical skills or stay with prof and rise both: for now i go with the 2nd option.

Also, i would like to know if all the pieces of gear can have the same type of stats, and if not then i would like to know if there is a guide or something that tells which posibilities there are for each piece.

when you have the gear mouseover and in the tooltip there is written what it CAN be

well the special stats are stronger^^ for example i have 350 natural dmg this is 60%+ poison damage O.o prof would be 35% so there you have the usefulness^^ ofc if you class does 50% this dmg and 50% that then its harder but most classes strictly stick to 1 dmg type

ah, so special attacktype is x2 instead of x1 ?!
now this would make it valuable then :)

not completly x2 but its defenetly higher so it has its use^^
