Steam overlay BUG after new patch 7.0.1

After the latest patch 7.0.1 when i try to turn the Steam overlay on by pressing SHIFT+TAB the game switches to windows mod.Vice versa when i want to turn the steam overlay off as the game is in windows mod,Allods switches the game back to full screen mod.
It is extremely annoying and it makes the game experience sudden lag spike as you can imagine.It is hard to bear with
