I don't have with who to play this game!

It's on F2P server, league side.

Here is a few things:

- There are a very few players, who are new and they don't understand game mechanics, needs. I saw Player level 30 without runes! - not even level 1. What do you think if they missed the talent tree will they know it must pay in order to fix it? I would suggest to make an in game mail with Water of Death Droplets. Also with stats, if they put some useless place let they fix it.
That would help to respect to Tanks for astral. Have anyone tried to find a tank for astral 23-50 or what level is?

I think this could be implemented with very few effort from game developers.

The Astral problem S1, S3:
They allowed to go there or a "taxi" will bring there and is accessible. That's great they can enjoy gearing up.
After a few gears the allod become easy. They stop hiring tanks and go with 6x dps, and make a dps race... unbelivable...

Very hard to believe, but many - many players don't know yet about the agro system. The enemy boss will attack randomly a player, hence even if is a dps, still not enough he rune level 1 at defense... and there are aoe damages. You can name this like "noob" or "trash" players but there are many.
The game itself doesn't have an Agro meter addon built in, not visible for they.

Many scouts and mages starts with they highest damage spells the fight. Usually the tank will taunt and it's ok, unless they are a lot more geared than the tank and the taunt time elapsed and is on CD. They will blame the tank because not holding agro...

Then the healers: they philosophy is when the tank is at low health, they can heal better ( which is true, almost). Usually they do with a warrior, who will loose HP linearly. The very big surprize for they is when a paladin tank with 60% of 20M HP - is around 12M will almost instantly die!

The bosses give me 2M-6M dmg in each barrier ( at S4) 4 barrier x 4M average damage = 16M. Ihave like 3 spells to reduce the dmg, but when I release this to my body from 20M taking 16M it will be an instant death. I can tell to they to heal me to Full HP and after 10 sec put a heal over time spell on me, but no reason to tell, they don't believe me and they are the healer not me and they do the job well, just I can't tank :)


It would be very nice idea to let the healer see how many damages are in my barriers and see they time. Maybe they will believe I need 100% HP before boss in S2-S4 and after 5 sec of the fight I need HoT spell , because I will drop HP soon with 2M-6M packs...

As a fail tank I went to DPS role. I got a party where everyone was geared better with me, some are used Elixirs from Shop.
We got last time the Zone 51 allod.

At the first boss, if you care about top read the boss buff, you will see at the description it has a protection against damages...
They were geared and full dps, tank didn't care about, he only know he needs to tank: hold agro and damage reduction...
Actually he and who is targeted by the second immune boss ( but mostly the tank) must form a lime and produce a collosion with the targeted boss.
If the collision produce the original buff disappear and it will become vulnerable for a while, will be a cross sign buff.
Sadly the tank didn't care about this.

The second boss: very easy at S3, so they don't care about 80% , 60% inmune and aoe, everyone just dps-ed and wondered why isn't dieng the boss and wipe us.
I bring the red circle to boss and told to bring the blue circle but nobody.... we got wiped.
Went back wiped again, nobody brigs the circle, nobody reads the buss, just asking "how much GS have you?" if I want to be dps. I had like 69k and something, others 71-73k gs... but how they did they allod until now?
To recruit this party at least 30 astral megaphones were wasted...

The next allod is the Turtle (s3):
At first boss, they wanted to kill the turtle, even is immune..."kill the ads fast " principle :)

Skirmish:
Voting afkers, slackers doesn't work, simply not kicked. Many times tied. If somebody made tiny dmg that will be there.
There is a random skirmish when need to capture they other golem and bring to our home, ( and help escorting) / prevent they other team to do the same with out golems. Most of my teams just stay in middle ( in bast case) and PvP - who care about golem...


Guilds:
Loy 10, prestige 0 has champion tabards.
Me with loy > 80 "not enough tabard at the moment"

Raids:
Everyone want to keep they boxes for themself, not helping to stay in party, because they lose the right to do that Gt box on that week :(


Actually to which part to "enjoy" to the game and with who?

I honestly think you need to join a better guild in which you can meet nice players. Those that are in a guild with you should treat you with respect and be nice to you (as would you to them), if they don't - what's the point in being in their guild and helping those who never give back to you.

Pugging - Almost never a good experience imo, and being with a good guild and with friends will change your astral experience drastically.
PvP - People not playing the objective is very common, most people care only about damage and kills, no use aguishing about it as these people wont change.
Raids - If you were invited to a guild run, that's very sad. Even if sometimes you find those few really nice guys, there are always greedy people.

I agree with Upsie and hope you will find a better guild to join and players to have fun with.
The ones you describe maybe have better gear but lack the brain to understand boss mechanics - and honestly it's no rocket science, like you said just read buffs and act accordingly.

As for players not waiting for aggro, suggestion is : at start of fight, don't aggro at all, just use some aoe attacks and that's it - let the braindead do their huge damage and die, then save the players that are worth it with your aggro skill.
After a few packs being the first dead and not able to play, they usually understand or ragequit allod. Not a great loss in both cases.

I knew a healer that did the same back in the days when there were no circles to avoid aoe or puddles on ground : you got healed once, twice, then the other times he spent heals on people who actually moved from stuff.
We learned the hard way but don't have troubles anymore with moving from bad things in astral or raids, it's comes naturally :)

Anyway, just leave the guild you're in coz they are not worth your time or the prestige you bring them, there are still some better ones left even on league side, don't despair :)

Have to agree with the above posters that you need to change your guild first.

If joining new guild won't save you from pugs, then just learn the ppl you go with. Back when I had to do it, I simply put good players to friend list and definite f-tards to my ignore list so that next time I'm forming pug they won't be bothering me.

But I also have to defend the massive ignorance in astral a bit. The current astral design encourages ppl to give up on hard fights and rather roll new allod since it's easier/faster than to keep wiping while trying to figure out the tactics and follow it.

Regarding skirmishes. I think it's perfectly fine if people don't play for the objective, but rather for what they find fun. There's absolutely no need to shout at ppl trying to force them to do what they don't want to do, and if you continue insisting they'll just make you see the Kick feature actually works because it does.

If you wanna do objective pvp then form/join a team for ranked 3v3, 6v6 and also go guild/champ domi. It's where objective really matters.

GT/TP raids are solo-able so I don't know what's the problem with the boxes there.

As for astral strategies : I agree the current system where you don't lose anything if you fail is utter crap and doesn't encourage people to learn - and also allows them to ask for sectors much harder than what they can actually afford with GS/knowledge.

But I still think it's better to learn the strategies for bosses, you may spend a bit of time learning them at start, but once you know them all, doing your daily keys in s4 with people who know it too is very, very fast - compared to trying / wiping / skipping and waiting for a better allod.

In the long run it's better to know what to do, and be with people who know too for best efficiency and game experience also :) Hence, guildies & friends.

when you dont read the text in the game you will miss important information like things about runes
reading is essential

What do you think if they missed the talent tree will they know it must pay in order to fix it?
game clearly says there is free rspec until you hit level 16

respec is sent out free from time to time
also, when you hit max level you can get free respec from R2/D2 golem
astral23-50 has mercenaries? i havent found time to test this
if yes there is no proble, merc tank is great

dps who cant wait should be able to absorb some dmg
rowdy brow can instant aggro
if you cant do better than the mercenary tank you should consider playing dps

proper healer should keep party at ~100% all the time
if he cant, he should let the mercenary do it

ppl often just want to do the easy way
press 2 or 3 buttons and not more

usually every boss is doable just by dps stubbornly in non-hard sectors

why do you waste megaphones for easy sector?
there is autosearch and free mercs
( i would understand if you wrote s4 (hard) but not S3)

everyone like other things in game
i like kill&annoy players in pvp, enjoy landscape, gain gold, farming, levleing...
i dont like putting effort in temporary things

find out whats fun to you

find 5 good buddys and the game becomes way more enjoyable :D

as for astral tactics i have to admit since 7.0 i dont rrly care about boss tactics anymore cuz... concentration and bloodlust^^ even if i bossaggro i survive for a looong time also in current astral you dont even need a healer anymore so better take a supp then playing tank is more enjoyable cuz less cd on deffskills and heals

viable tankplay= 1 healer 1 tank rest dps
skip all mobs
only attack boss
fight with all packs and boss at same time
save even more time :love:

If this a hint for hard or easy sectors?

If for hard, then it might be very tricky to achieve.

If for easy then why do you even need a tank or a healer there?

you dont NEED a tank or healer there

but its handy for faster clearing the allod
when im with mercs or few players, i go tank and do it this way
rowdy brow does little damage, i do lots
as non-tank you wont survive certain of these "pulls" but as tank its easy
as you fight multiple enemies even as tank you can be top dps then :)

Do you think care about Shadow buff? - Rowdy must survive anyhow, he is a tank... "focus on dps..."






Why Rowdy is at half HP? - "because is the final boss, that is normal..." Who care about description of the thousands of small buffs...


So they are invincible and go to S4.... where actually matter this buffs...


I was in a maze.
Selected "high" level because with 3k was ore than a medium. The leader "forgot" has a few with 65k GS and patr 4, and not not all 70k and patr 5 and runes... wasn't this the biggest problem:

One player died every time when was 2x circle on him (cave fall). Since he is a dps, why waste ruby on stamina.. It's the tank and healer job to keep him invincible.

The next a goblin did a stun and right after that made a dark path, which did astral dmg over the time. Since he is from a reputable guild, he must be protected, he doesn't need to walk away .... just dps until die.

Another wipe with gblins, who made an eye debuff. Who cares about that, just dps hard... and worder then why the tank is dead right after him, "it's the tank fault..."

I wrote in the chat, some understand, some still doesn't care some don't understand , because speaks other languages and En not ant conversational level ( an don't care about buff, just dps meter value)

Now don't go in a pug party to maze, don't go to S3 don't go S4, don't go to Skirmish.
Don't go with guild in raids, because are greedy ppl.

As I saw 99.99% of the players know in best base to use attack, at the start of the fight:


I said in best case, because then Rowdy will walk to mobs ( very slow and boring time ) and will start a regular fight.
Instead they rush into mobs and Rowdy will taunt always, he never fail, and they can dps continuously. When they meet a human than and doesn't act as Rowdy, than is a trash tank, doesn't matter if he has CD on taunt.


I bet 1% of the player population never used this: Retreat


What? -to retreat in the middle of the fight, are you crazy? :) - the descriptions it says and regroup around you... and you can use Attack.
So easy would be to put that Shadow on the circle, even the circle is moving. The fight with him would be 25% of the time...
So easy would be to use the Move a few steps back - spell C in my case.

Sadly I must play with this ppl. Do I must, or just take a longer break from the game?

Maybe in 5 years will he a big vizible hit, a popup, to not see aything else "Move Rowdy from pials away!" , "Stop DPS when you got an Eye debuff" :)

On the Blue is top dps, is top kill is top... whatever ppl ....

Top 4 killers did 69 kills, which is a lot more then the whole other team... and they loose.

Now tell anything to that players! Something like how it would be better to go for / with flag? :)


Until you don't meet they runes, you have to shut up, they won't listen:


And got followers , because they have high runes...

why do you think why there are soloplayers in this game and players that only play in fixed parties? :D
its to protect yourself from experiences like the ones you had ;)

those who pay attention to comments are the rookies which want to improve and dont just because of the lack of knowledge

This is a FUNDAMENTAL problem with the game. Something what should be on devs' "to fix ASAP" list.
A player should never, ever be able to achieve such a position, a gear reset should occur prior to that every time.

It is actually up to them to decide what should they do. If they wanted to go KoE and gank there they would've done that.

Vote kick allows you to pick one of the reasons to kick: "slacking" or "being rude", which one fits them most? And how would you figure that someone in the raid is contributing more to the objective than those who got most dmg/frags? How should people confirm that best DPS/killer in the team isn't adding to the objective?

And again it's not Dala who decides what needs to be done, it's every player decides for themselves.

I mean, isn't it great if these people have fun this way? isn't it all that matter?
That's to me a typical example why i hate this vote kick system : you're not allowed to play the way you want anymore without having the fear of beiing kicked at any time :thumbdown:
People should understand that some activities ig requier organisation (domis, pve raids...) and some don't (bg's, pick yp astral groups...). when participating one of these unorganised activities stop wanting to have any kind of superiority/leadership over the others, just accept that it has a big part of randomness; just wait to have your 50% chance to be in the winning group and that's all.

to me it seems that there is a big similarity betwen those who say that allods is p2w and those who say that the vote kick system is great because :
-the ones that say allods is p2w generaly think about "win" as "win in pvp" while it's only one type of activity among many in the game
-the ones that like vote kick system generaly seem to think that (as the ones that think allods = p2w) bg's is (one of) the most important thing ig, so they feel entitled to judge others behavior and kick out those who don't play the way THEY like.

Jus accept everyone has a different pov and don't necessarily want to play the same way as ou do, it's very annoying :thumbdown:

PS : srly don't you think that gear reset happen wayyyyyy too often already?? + what's the point of gearing up if you wan't enjoy to be in "such a position" as you say?

There are other ways to entice players into continuing to hunt for gear besides gear resets, too. Perhaps not with Allods Online as it currently is, but there are plenty of means of giving a player progressive upgrades that help them cater to their playstyle while still providing a "standard max gear" level that's competitive with other players whether they've farmed infinitely or not. The dev team simply has no interest in doing so because that's much harder to handle and requires extensive, enticing content.

The glyph system could have been good, but it was ruined outright by requiring the playerbase to use it to gain ANY important stats. Instead of fixing it, they ditched the entire thing due to the (rightfully placed) negative backlash. We've had over a hundred astral allods over the years that made for engrossing gameplay, but rather than being updated they've simply been removed outright and maybe gotten recycled down the road. So here we are, left with a fairly crappy gearing system, repeating the same small selection of astral allods over and over again, and being fed teeny tiny raids that really only just accelerate our gearing rather than providing a unique reason for engaging in them.

It's really no wonder people start showing signs of burn-out.

And how would you figure that someone in the raid is contributing more to the objective than those who got most dmg/frags? How should people confirm that best DPS/killer in the team isn't adding to the objective?

On the first occurrence, sadly they can't. However players can remember who did this and vote kick them next time, it would seriously discourage this kind of behavior.

it's every player decides for themselves.

They do, but incentive to do like in the above example can be severely diminished if those kind of people get branded accordingly within the community.

Of course it would be better if developers made sure the incentive is non-existent in the first place, but vote kick is a tool that can be used as band aid.
