A newbie question

So what weapon should summoner use is there a way taht weapon can add more dmg to magic atacks?
Staffs are like 2handed maces or pikes I dont seee diference but offhands do they add more dmg to mages maybe?

this mechanic has been removed
doesnt matter now what weapon you pick
only pint in offhand is balancing stats more if you wish that


(before, it was so that offhand granted you more defense but 2handed granted you more mana + manareg)

as you dont use your weapon it doesnt matter^^ for a summy the weapon is just decoration cuz only your magical wand is important

Hmm thx but i do not understand now u got me lost.


So only wand is important and I should look for wand with most dmg and other weapon and off hand I can use puprple even if low lvl for best stats,is that corect?

well summoner is something like a magican so you only use spells but never directly hit with your weapon so only your magical wand will increase your dmg output directly the weapon like a sword for example only gives your the stats on it like +20 proficiency or whatever it has but the general weapon dps itself doesnt matter for you^^ so its up to you to choose 1hand + offhand,slow 2 hand or fast 2 hand as it makes no diffrence for your dps

only keep in mind if you for example use dagger + offhand then you have to collect (find) 2 items instead of 1

Yeah two handed is better because you dont have to upgrade dagger and offhand item. Magic user classes (mage,summoner,,...) their damage come from wands so you can pick the weapon what you like to use. Only good side of one handed and offhand is give you more opportunuty to play with stats.
