Summoner, what is it?


Summoners are never met alone; undead minions are their faithful allies.
They use dark magic to spread diseases amongst their enemies, poison them and corrode their armor and flesh with acid.
The very same dark magic allows them to heal their group members.


Armor type: Cloth
Aspect: Attack, Support, Healing


Aspect of Assault

You aim to destroy mercilessly everyone in your way.
Damage dealt increases by 10%.

Pros: Decent damage for any PvE content related such as astral, raid or daily quests.
Cons: Cannot be competitive against players due to lack of off heal /buff/debuff.


Aspect of Support

You aim to support your allies and weaken your enemies in the critical moments of the battle.
The duration of support effects is increased by 50%, and positive effects efficiency is increased by 7%.

Pros: The best Aspect so far for anything PvP related.
Can buff party and debuff enemies
Decent offheal
Cons: If your enemies possess Executioner’s Ability and Fatality Ability (Carnifex) and kill one of your teammates, all your dots get dispel
Not recommended for any PvE content due to its lack of DPS in comparison with Aspect of Assault.


Aspect of Healing

You aim to heal your wounded allies.
Outgoing healing and absorbing capacity of shields, applied to your allies, increases by 10%.

Can be use for PvE and PvP content.

Summon has decent healing skills but isn't the best in game at the moment, other classes such are warden whom can AoE heal or priest whom has shields would be a better option if you planning to play 24/7 Full Heal.

I will talk about Artifact helpful for Summer in PvE or PvP and not about Artifact helpful in daily basis.




Outgoing healing +15% (at level 5)

1: When a character in your group dies, you receive the Tensess’ Grace effect, which allows you to cast Gift of Tensess instantly. When the target resurrects, it receives a shield equal to 25% of their maximum health.
2: When taking damage that exceeds 30% of their maximum health, the bearer gains the Principle of Survival effect, which heals them for 30% of their maximum health over 5 seconds. Can be applied only once every 90 seconds.
3: When health level of one of your party members drops below 40%, the artifact bearer gains the Principle of Preservation effect for 4 seconds. This effect enhances the outgoing healing by 15%. Can be triggered once every 60 seconds.
4: Principle of Prediction: While in combat, every 10 seconds the artifact bearer surrounds every party member within an 8-yard radius with a barrier, equal to 10% of their maximum health. This barrier does not stack with barriers cast by other characters, get refreshed only once every 10 seconds and absorbs 50% of oncoming damage. Effect lasts 15 seconds.
5: Principle of Unity, active ability: the bearer sets up a link with one of their party members. 50% of the healing dealt to the linked ally, returns to the healer. The link can be broken manually. It fades upon death of one of the two characters. Cooldown 120 seconds.

This artifact is a must have for any Summoner playing Full heal.
Principle of Unity (rank 5) should be used on main Tank.




Support efficiency +10%

1: Dispelling a negative effect from a party member grants them the United in Hardships effect. This effect protects them from the following negative effect that can be dispelled. Can be triggered once every 30 seconds.
2: Dealing damage over time (non-area damage) applies the Unity in Sorrow effect to enemy characters which reduces the target’s incoming healing by 2% (up to 20%) for 4 seconds. The effect is shared and accumulated by all beaters of the artifact. One bearer can apply the effect only once per second.
3: All enemies within 40 yards of the artifact bearer have Unity in Pain applied to them: dispelling a positive effect from an enemy additionally deals damage equal to 4% of their maximum health. This effect can be triggered only once per second against player characters or once every 30 seconds against creatures and monsters.
4: Dealing area damage applies the United in Happiness effect, which increases area damage they take from all sources by 1% (up to 10%) for 4 seconds. The effect is shared and accumulated by all bearers of the artifact. One bearer can apply the effect only once per second.
5: Dealing area damage applies the United in Death effect to victims which increases area damage they tale from all sources by 1% (up to 10%) for 4 seconds. The effect is shared and accumulated by all bearers of the artifact.

This artifact is very useful in PvP – Aspect of Support.
Summoners have their strength in AoE which makes this artifact perfect.




Incoming damage -10% (rank 5)

1: Using Marty’s Gift of any rank grants you the Aegis of Light effect which reduces all incoming damage by 10% for 6 seconds.
2: As long as you’re standing still, you accumulate the Dragon’s Patience effect, which reduces incoming damage by 1% (up to 6%). While moving, you accumulate the Dragon’s Flight effect, which increases incoming healing by 1% (up to 6%). This work only in combat.
3: Using any defensive ability applies the Dragon’s Blessing effect, which increases all incoming healing by 20% for 4 seconds. Can be activated only once in 12 seconds.
4: Victory Aegis: when your health drops below 25% you receive a shield equal to 25% of your maximum health for 3 seconds. Can be activated only once in 5 minutes.
5: Dragon’s Heart: Incoming damage is reduced by 1% (up to 5%) per each party member within a 20-yard radius.

This Artifact is a must have in PvP or PvE as for Dps or FH



Damage dealt +15 (rank 5)

1: Upon entering combat, you receive the Striving for Victory effect which increases all your damage dealt and reduces all incoming damage by 10% for 6 seconds.
2: Dealing damage increases your main offensive stat by 5 (up to 40). Duration of the effect: 2 seconds.
3: Incoming damage increases your damage by 1% (up to 10%). This effect can be triggered once per second.
Duration of the effect: 3 seconds.
5: Victory March: Damage dealt is increased by 1% (up to 5%) for each party member within a 12-yard radius

This artifact is also a must have for PvP and PvE



Movement speed

1: Cooldown duration of all teleportation abilities is reduced by 15%
2: Using any teleportation ability grants you the Inertia effect which increases your movement speed by 20% for 3 seconds.
3: Using Marty’s Guidance of any rank grants the Exhilaration effect for 4 seconds. While the effect is active, the character’s preparation and casting time is increased by 20%.
4: Increases the duration of alchemical potions and tonics by 33%.
5: An incoming slowing effect will instantly remove all other slowing effects and grant immunity to them for 3 seconds. Works only once in 20 seconds.

This Artifact is very useful in PvE, not only any slowness gets dispel, but you can move faster, and your Tonic last longer!

Race Abilities :

Cooldown: 1m




Race Ability (Defiler)
You bind yourself to an ally for 6 seconds. While this effect is active, you lose 10 % of your health every second, and the ally's health restored by 10%
The effect will fade if the distance between you and the target exceeds 40 yards; if your health drop below 10 %; if you or the ally die



Race Ability (Warlock)
Inflicts xx Poison damage every 2 seconds over 14 seconds.



Race Ability (Demonologist)
Your Bloodlust and Critical Chance increase by 100 for 10 seconds

I really recommend to use this spell as burst since we cannot use tears skills together anymore.



Race Ability (Savant)
You destroy one summoned minion and instantly restore 35% of your health

Very helpful in PvP

Each race has its own Ability, but you can unlock them with Page of the book of Secret





World Mystery Talents :



Cooldown: 3s.
Dispels one negative effect from an ally.



Cooldown: 3m.
Heals an ally by 10% of your maximum health every second over 5 seconds.




Cast time: 3s
Cooldown: 1s.
Instantly resurrects the fallen target and restores their health by 40%. If cast in combat, its cooldown duration increases to 5 minutes.

To be noted: I will often use “ xx “, damage or heal depends on your stats.
I will also use 3 different numbers, those numbers differs of the rank you took (rank 1, 2 or 3).

Blood Bank




You have a blood bank which can contain up to 15 drops of blood or use them to cast spells.
5 seconds after you leave combat, your blood bank resets to 10.


Main DPS Skills

Dots aside you have 2 mains skills Life Tap and Howl of Death

Vampirism & Life Tap,
Inflicts xx damage to the enemy

Has a cast time, but with rubies Dehydration, you will be able to use this skill without cast
The buff on your char will look like this:



Howl of Death
Blood bank: 6
Inflicts xx damage and reduces movement speed by 50 % for 1 second.
Reduce movement speed can be increase with Aspect of Support.
With rubies Sepulchral Chill, the cost of your next Howl of Death will be reduced

Pets



Hellion
Summons Warden - Your minion, who helps you fight your enemies. Deals xx damage in melee combat every 2,5 seconds. Minion's health equals 85, 100 or 115% (rank1, 2 and 3) of your maximum health
Since acid builds and Cadavers aren’t efficient anymore, Hellion is the pet you need to have for any PvE build.

Lurker
Summons Lurker, your minion, who helps you fight your enemies.
It deals xx Shadow damage every 1,5 seconds and generates drop of blood with every other attack. Lurker’s incoming damage from single-target and periodical attacks reduces by 50, 70 and 90% (rank1, 2 and 3).
Immune to area of effect attacks. Minion's health equals your maximum health
As seen above, this pet generates blood and can also cc your enemies with rubies.
This pet is helpful for any full heal build and Support.


Damage Over Time



Avid Shadows
Inflicts xx damage every 1,5 seconds over 12 seconds

Volatile Infection
Cast time 1s.
Every second during 8 seconds, inflicts xx damage to the target. It also deals 30% of this damage to 5 enemies with the lowest health within an 8-yard radius around the main target.
Advanced Genetics rubies allows Volatile Infection to be spread to more enemies and consume less blood.

Neurotoxin
The target receives xx Poison damage per second over 8 seconds.
The effect stacks up to 50 times.
The damage increases by 25, 30 or 35% per each stack of the effect.

Wandering Fever
Instantly infects xx damage and additionally xx damage every 1,5 seconds

Heals


Summoner has 2 AoE heals Plague of Mending and Blood Feast (can be unlocked with rubies):

Plague of Mending
Time of sustention: 2,5 seconds.
Cooldown: 30s, 24s or 18s
Heals all party members within a 20-yard radius by xx times.
Consumes 1 drop of blood each time healing is done
Cooldown can decrease with Swiftness

Blood Stream
Instantly heals an allied target by xx.
Successful cast of the spell in combat will restore 1 drop of blood

Blood Tie
Cooldown :10s.
You heal your ally by xx and additionally by 5% of their lost health. You deal damage, equal to 10, 15 or 20% of your current health, to yourself and generate 1 drop of blood
Cooldown can decrease with Swiftness

AoE heals aside, this is one of your main heal because it generates blood, but use it wisely, as sacrifice you lose HP at each use.
Very useful in FH or Support Build.

Healing Injection
Cast time 1s
Blood Bank: 1
Heals an ally by xx
One of your main heals as well, but be careful to not spam it, or you will be out of blood.

Searing
Blood Bank: 2
Cooldown: 6s

You cauterize your ally's wounds, dealing damage equal to 5% of their current health level and then healing them for xx after 5, 4 or 3 seconds.

Cooldown can decrease with Swiftness

Last one of your main heals, very powerful heal, used in FH or Support builds, be careful it doesn’t heal you or your ally instantly.

Dark Renewal
Time of sustention: 2,5 s.
The Summoner loses a drop of blood and 5% of their health every second, restoring xx health to their ally. The healing efficiency is increased by 80% of the base one

Last one on the list, decent heal.


Defense and CC:



Blood Aegis
Protects a party member with a shield that reduces all incoming damage by 10, 15 or 20%.
The number of applied shield stacks: 3, 4 or 5.
If the ally receives damage that exceeds 10% of your health, 1 shield stack is consumed.
Only 1 stack of the effect can be dispelled at a time. The effect lasts 15 seconds

Fear of Death
Cooldown: 1 m, 50s or 40s.
Makes your enemy flee in fear for 2,5 seconds.

Ghostly World
Cast time: 5, 4 or 2s.
Cooldown: 30,20 or 10s.
Can be prepared in advance.
Paralyses the target and makes it unable to perform any actions for 30 seconds.
If the target has less than 90% health left, any incoming damage will remove the effect.
You need to have this talent at least R1 for any PvE content.

Dark Veil
Cooldown 1m30s.
You send you or your ally to the ghostly world for 4, 5 or 6 seconds and dispel 1 removable negative effect.
The target becomes invulnerable and immune to all control effects, though still able to use abilities. The target's health drops to 1

Use this skill only when you are about to die as it will save your life.
For PvP, after using it heal yourself with Searing and Blood Ties.

Dragon Tears:



Lash of the Doomed
Time of sustention 1,6s
Cooldown: Depends on your tears' quality.
You deal xx damage four times, while the effect lasts. Damage dealt increase by 1, 2 or 3% per each 1% of the heal you lose.
Applies Vulnerability and Wounds effects for 3 seconds upon fade.
Use this skill when your health is low like after using Dark Veil

Dark Vigor

Cooldown 4m.
You apply the Dark Vigor effect to you and your minion for 14 seconds.
While this effect is active:
You generate 1 drop of blood every second, and your damage dealt increases by 10, 15 or 20%.
You can cast and sustain abilities while moving.
Hellion deals xx more damage.
Each Lurker's attack applies the Helplessness effect to the target.

Helplessness makes the target unable to use any abilities.

Dark Palm
Cooldown: Depends on your tears' quality.
You summon a dark spawn for 18 seconds. The Dark Palm is chasing the nearest enemy and attacks them every 3, 2 or 1 seconds. Every hit deals xx Shadow damage over a small area in front of it.
Damage to players is doubled.

Grants you the Sepulchral Chill effect every 2 seconds in combat.
The effect reduces the cost of your next Howl of Death to 1 drop of blood.
This effect stacks up to 3 times

Dehydration
Howl of Death allows instant casting of Wandering Fever, Vampirism or Life Tap.
Stacks up to 5 times.

Toxicosis
The duration of the Neurotoxin effect increases by 4 times

Terminal Stage
When Wandering Fever is dispelled or fades, it deals additional xx Disease damage to the target

Grim Reaper
Damage dealt by Vampirism, Life Tap and Howl of Death grants you the Grim Reaper effect, which stacks up to 3 times. While the effect is active, the damage of your Neurotoxin, Avid Shadows and Wandering Fever increases by 30% until the amount of their stacks changed.
Using these abilities consumes one stack of the Grim Reaper effect.

Bloody Harvest
Increases the duration of Avid Shadows by 9 seconds and the duration of Volatile Infection by 1 second

Blood Fountain
Generates 1 drop of blood every 1 seconds in combat

Blastment
The damage of Neurotoxin, Avid Shadows, Wandering Fever, and Volatile Infection is increased by 20 %

Thrill of Pain
You receive damage equal to 30% of your health, from Ritual of Pain.
After you use the ability, you restore 1 drop of blood every second over 1 seconds. The cooldown duration of the ability is reduced by 15%

Necrosis

Banshee Howl

Lucker's every 10 attack applies the Banshee Howl effect to the target for 10 seconds.
The next Howl of Death will apply the Helplessness effect to the target for 2 seconds.
The effect can be triggered by any Summoner.
Aspect of Support does no affect the duration of the effect.
Helplessness makes the target unable to use any abilities

Ghost Speaker
Aspect of Support
The cooldown of Frightful Presence is reduced by 15%, and Ghostly World can be cast instantly

Catabolism
Aspect of Healing
Cast speed of healing of Blood Stream, Dark Renewal, Plague of Mending, and Blood Feast increases by 5%

Weeper
Aspect of Healing
Every 6 Lurcker's attack heals 6 party members with the lowest health within a 20 yard radius by xx and inflict xx Shadow damage to all enemies within an 8 yard radius

Bloody Screen
Aspect of Healing
Blood Aegis additionally reduces the incoming damage by 5%. Each removed stack of the effect consumes 1 drop of blood. Fades if you run out of drops of blood

Path of Rebirth
Aspect of Healing
While under Dark Veil, your allies receive 50 % more healing from you

Lamia
While under Dark Veil, you generate 1 drop of blood every second

Borrowed Life
While your Dark Veil is active on a target, all your outgoing healing increases by 15%

Blood Feast
Time of sustention : 2,5s.
Cooldown: 16s
The Dark spell deals xx damage to all enmies within an 8 yard radius 4 times. Every time this effect deals damage, you receive damage, equal to 10% of your current health and generate 2 drop of blood

One with Shadow
When the Summoner's health drops below 40%, they remove all removable negative effects from themselves.
For 2 seconds after that, common types of damage cannot lower the Summoner's health below 1%. The effect can be trigerred one in 120 seconds. Only works in combat

Gift of Pain
Guard's base damage is increased by 200 % and by an extra 1% for every 10 points of your Critical Chance

Gemotoxin
Heallion's critical attack poisons the target for 9 seconds, additionally dealing xx Poison damage evert 1,5 seconds.

Washing with Blood
When Blood Feast is cast, all its targets in combat within the area are immobilized for 3 seconds, and all your party members receive the Acceleration effect for 3 seconds.
The Acceleration effect increase your movement speed by 25%

Step through the Shadows
Cooldown: 40s.
The Summoner merges with the shadows and teleports to the current target, generating 5 drops of blood.
All monsters and characters in the 4 yard radius around the target ( including the target) receive: Enemies : Vulnerability for 4seconds; Allies: Bloodthirst for 4 seconds

Impending Doom
Howl of Death, Vampirism, and Life Tap apply the Impending Doom effect to the target (stacks up to 5times).
Each time your minion inflicts damage to this target, it loses one stack of the effect and receives xx Shadow damage

Dehydration allows casting Wandering Fever, Vampirism and Life Tap instantly

Bloody Sacrifice
Every time your spells inflict damage to yourself, 6 allies with the lowest health within a 20 yard radius receive xx healing

Phlebotomy
When you inflict damage to yourself with healing spells, with a 100% chance you receive a drop of blood

Hyperemia

Healing Injection and Reanimation efficiency increases by 30%

Blood Pact
When the Summoner inflicts damage to themselves with Blood Storm, Blood Ties, Blood Feast, Dark Renewal and Channel of Life, they gain 1 stack of the Blood Pact effect for every 100 points of health lost (up to 1000)
The Summoner's outgoing healing is increased by 0,01% for each stack of the effect. When used, Reanimation absobs the Blood Pact effect completely, healing the target for 1,55 for each stack of the effect

Power over Flesh
Casting critical healing will grant you the Power over Flesh effect (stacks up to 3 times). Healing of your next Dark Renewal and Healing Injection will be increased by 24%. Cast time of Healing Injection will be reduced by 11% per each stack of the effect. The effect will be consumed. Power over Flesh is not triggered if critical healing is applied with these abilities.

PvE - DPS







Stats :

★300 Proficiency
★600 Determination
★300 Brutality

★228 Critical Chance ( will be above 250 in combat, bonus from Artifact )
★250 Critical Damage
★250 Double Attack

★250 Caution
★250-300 Concentration
★250-300 Bloodlust
★ Everything left in Vitality


Rotation :

First of all, you need to wait your Tank gets aggro,

1) Rotation for Observatory raid or Astral Allods single-Target

Your first spell should be Life Tap to build determination, trinket should proc and give extra stats burst, drink Tonic of Concentration (potion) and use:
Dark Frenzy, Dark Vigor, Ritual of Pain, and Life Tap / Howl of Death



When first set of DoT vanish, use Ritual of Plague + Volatile Infection to refresh your dots, keep dpsing with Life Tap and Howl of Death



Even with Bloodletting your Ritual of Plague will still be in cooldown once your second set of DoT vanish so you need to renew all DoT one by one.
/!\Try to use Bloodletting after Ritual of Pain, remember, if there is other summoner in your party, you can share this skill and reduce cooldown of abilities to each other.



Repeat, when your trinket and Dark Frenzy will be out of cd, use Dark Palm instead Dark Vigor.

Don't forget, as seen above, in talents section, make sure to use Life Tap and Howl of Death while you are under the effect of Dehydration and Sepulchral Chill



2) Rotation for Barbarian in Heroic pulling all mobs with Boss

PvP - SUPPORT







Stats :

★400-500 Proficiency

Rotation :

DPS is similar to PvE build (DoTs, Life Tap / Howl of Death)
Pay attention on DoT and renew Ritual of Pain (cooldown: 10s) and Ritual of Plague (cooldown: 9s) more often.
not only because your DoT fade away but to refresh what has been dispel too.
Use defensive skills (Blood Aegis)
Don't wait to be out of blood to use Step through the Shadows, use it to debuff enemies.
its cooldown decrease significantly with Swiftness.
Use Volatile Infection manually to debuff enemies with Weakness or Vulnerability

Buff and Debuff:


Weakness : damage dealt reduced.
Vulnerability increases target's incoming damage by 25%.
Sluggishness effect movement speed of the target reduced.
Helplessness effect makes the target unable to use any abilities.

Courage effect reduces the duration of control effects by 25%.
Bloodthirst effect Increase Bloodlust of Allies.
The Acceleration effect increase your movement speed by 25%.
Defense reduces target's incoming damage by 35%.

PvE - FULL HEAL







Stats :

★250-300 Proficiency
★125 Determination
★500-600 Brutality

★228 Critical Chance ( will be above 250 in combat, bonus with Artifact )
★250 Critical Damage

★250 Concentration
★250 Physical Damage

Keep an eye on your stacks, watch your blood bank



Always have Principle of Unity and Blood Aegis on Tank



All Allies in party taking damage (AoE)
Plague of Mending will heal all allies,
Blood Feast will heal and generate blood



Those heals can be spam
Blood Ties and Searing,
Blood ties is a good heal if you are short on blood drop and an ally is low hp.
Searing is a tricky one, does decent heal after 3seconds.



Strong heals when your ally need to be healed ASAP
Reanimation and Healing Injection



And the last ones, with Time of sustention :
Dark Renewal and Blood Stream
